Table of ConTenTs MoTivaTion leTTerDear IFMSA friendsa and European family,
it is a great honor and pleasure for us to present IFMSA-Poland candidature for hosting the 11th IFMSA European Regional Meeting.
In 1956, the rst Polish medical students estabilished MSCC - Medical Students’ Coordination Committee, the forerunner of the
International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations Poland (IFMSA-Poland). One year after founding, it became a proud member
of IFMSA. After organizing 13th IFMSA General Assembly in Gdansk (Pomerania) in 1964, we are ready to welcome the spirit of IFMSA
back to the region of Pomerania.
About 13 years ago, we performed a structural reformation to change our name to IFMSA-Poland, aiming to show our commitment
to the international community of medical students. Since then, IFMSA-Poland has been active in various elds - as student exchange,
public health, human rights and peace, medical education and reproductive health both at the national and the international level. Now
we are by far the largest nationwide organization of Polish medical students with 12 local committees and still trying to involve more
students and medical faculties for better representation of medical students all over the country.
After years of contribution to IFMSA, IFMSA-Poland takes a big step forward and proudly applies to host the EuRegMe 2014 in Poland
- being aware that having possibility to host an amazing group of IFMSA members can be a huge step and big dose of motivation. There
are several reasons why Poland is suitable for hosting the 11th IFMSA European Regional Meeting.
IFMSA-Poland is the one of the most developing NMO of European region. Our main international actions were based on collaboration
on sustainability of transnational projects and presenting them to the other NMOs including cooperation with Project Support Division.
A lot of people of IFMSA-Poland’s EB and TO are involved in international teams a nd Standing Committees action. Our NMO is getting
more and more active in the sake of our Federation.
Each year IFMSA-Poland organises two National Assemblies, for 12 Local Committees. This type of happening gathers together more
than 200 medical students from all over our country. Last meeting took place in Warsaw at the beginning of April 2013. Local Committee
of Warsaw showed us a great amount of proffesional organising and motivation. That gave us a strong feeling that applying for hosting
EuRegMe 2014 is not only a challenge b ut a true belief of showing our capability at the international level.
During this special event we decided to rely on team work. That is why, three of our Local Committeess are happy to cooperate and
support each other in this great venture. Gdańsk, Kraków and Warsaw have a big experience in organising National Assemblies, Standing
Committees Workshops as well as Training New Trainers. Moreover, in our XI EuRegMe Organizing Committee, we gathered the most
motivated people, sharing passion and common goal - a group of friends, who feel in love with the same idea and decided to make their
dreams come true.
IFMSA-Poland, being a growing Organisation, is having more external supporters each year. EuRegMe in Poland would be an
opportunity not only to present you a great quality of our trainings but also additional sessions that would introduce all the participants
into European health issues related to proposed theme event.
Lastly, I would like to dedicate an enormous recognition and respect to the whole Organizing Committee. They have in every means set
an example of vision, dedication, and hard work. The vision was to prepare a candidature that could set an example for future Regional
Meetings. We wanted to raise the academic levels of the theme events by cooperating with the Support Council for our candidature -
most of the distinguished professors of Polish Medical Universities.
We hope that our candidature and hours of hard work will be efcient for us. From our point of view we will do our best to make your
expectations come true. All what you need to do is just to let us show you what our country and organisation can offer to this meeting.
We are looking forward to your support.
On behalf of the IFMSA-Poland,
Natasza Blek
IFMSA-Poland Vice-President for External Affairs

MeeTifMsa-polandnMo’s presenTaTion
Together with our colleagues in more than 100 countries, we are involved in a global
network that connects thousands of medical students. Our organization gives medical
students the opportunities they need to go beyond the hospital walls and lecture halls.
Motivated, intelligent young people are determined to look b eyond the doors of their
medical school to see the world outside.
IFMSA–Poland gathers about 3000 students from twelve Polish Medical Universities. By
meeting each others, members of IFMSA–Poland share their ideas, skills and experience
about how students can act on the issues that motivate them. Twice a year we m eet in
different places in Poland, spending 3 days on workshops, trainings, discussions and relax, of
course. Additionally, we organize about 15 different meetings on the national level, such as
marketing workshops, SCs workshops and training events.
On an international level, we have arranged several transnational projects. These gave our
members the opportunities to proof their language competence and ability to work with partners
from other countries.

lC’s and oC’s
presenTaTionThe idea of creating candidature for the EuRegMe orginizer came from Warsaw LC which hosted last IFMSA-Poland National
Assembly and spread around the whole NMO. Our last National Assembly occurred to be a great success which proved that we are
able to prepare events on the highest level. Support of sponsors, external partners, our University’s authorities and all of our NMO
members motivated us to start our preparations for European Regional Meeting organizer and make outstanding, unforgettable event!
Warsaw is a capital city of Poland and our LC is one of the biggest and most active in IFMSA-Poland. It has 200 active members and 57 years
of history. All of the six IFMSA Standing Committees are working really hard to implement the mission if our Organization to the society of
young doctors. Authorities of Medical University of Warsaw fully support their work and help them nancially and by wise mentoring, what
is one of their most important advantages. More than half of the EuRegMe OC’s members are from Warsaw LC including the OC President,
who is the LC President since 2 years and was the head of the last National Assembly OC. External and internal trainigs coordinator, main
fundraiser, social programme coordinators and many others works in Warsaw as well. But the idea of creating such an event was so exciting
that to the OC joined a lot of people from whole Poland. One of the most important of the is VPE RA for Europe Natasza Blek who wisely
support the coordination of the whole team. Michalina Drejza, our VPI and of course IFMSA-Poland President Marta Wisniewska help us to
prepare the EuRegMe ever. Last but not least there are also pre- a nd postEuRegMe cooridnators with us, who come from Krakow and Gdansk.
All in all there are 24 members of IFMSA-Poland involved in the OC’s work on that moment. We create inspired and motivated team which
is willing to prepare for you EuRegMe that you will never forget!

Gniew Castle is the mightiest stronghold of the Teutonic order
on the left bank of the Vistula River. Built at the turn of the 13th
and the 14th centuries was the home of Teutonic commanders,
and in Polish times the seat of starostas. Rebuilt many times
in the 19th century (granary, prison), it nally burned in the
Great Fire of 1921. The reconstruction of the castle ran in
two stages. The rst stage lasted from 1968 to 1974, and
the second one began in 1992 to be continued until today.
Historical spectacles and events as well as shows of knights in
combat, which have been organised at Gniew castle since 1992,
have made the castle one of the major centres for promotion of
historic knowledge in Poland. All round the year, the castle on
commission by travel agencies serves conferences, integrationmeetings, training sessions, banquets and historical feasts.
Guests can choose to take a n unforgettable journey back to the
15th, 17th or early 20th century.

SA Reform Process is denitely
mber one in this year’s IFMSA
nts’ Agendas. In 2014 we are
ng to need the evaluation of
ons. We have to create the
ortunity for open discussions
creative ways of exchange of
ideas about regional actions,
ects and initiatives. Having a lot
xperience after loads of trainings
activities provided to our
mbers we want to give a chance
NMO inspiring session (like TED
nts) to increase a chance of
ning something new about a
ure, actions and activities within
Region. IFMSA-Poland is ready
ontinue the tradition of plenary

elopment of European NMOs
usive democracy.
ning Support Division of
SA-Poland is a group of trainers
sionate about teaching and
ching other students. Polish
ning team is well known from
organising a great amount of high
quality trainings every year. In 2013
Milena Sęp as a Training Support
Division Director organised Training
New Trainers Workshops, which
resulted in training 16 new trainers
throughout 3 full of hard work days.
We are working very hard to improve
ourselves everyday. Therefore, for
such a special event as XI EuRegMe
in Poland we prepared an diversied
agenda. Thus every participant will
nd something for himself. We are
offering you training concerning:
Autopresentation, Leadership
Development, Time Managment,
Project Managment, Motivation,
Peer Education, Cofacilitation,
Feedback and Foundraising.
Moreover, we are proud to invite
you to additional external trainings
coached by NLP Trainers (Neu-
rolinguisting Programming) and
Toast Masters. These are training
organisations we are being
supported by on our national and
local workshops.
Just to give you a hint of our ideas:
· Autopresentation – it is not
only a perfect way to get to know
the most common tricks but – more
importanty – also practise them
during two hours of training.
· Advanced Autopresentation
– how to make people listen and
prepare a sticky presentation.
· Project and Time Managment
will support you with abbilities
useful for your IFMSA work.
And more and more…
As a part of Federation were
are being supported by IFMSA
Trainers offering Training New
and Old Trainers as well as regular
workshops during EuRegMe.
Last but not least we want to add
to agenda of EuRegMe workshops
connected with Theme Event. We
are going to talk about autism and
Asperger syndrome. What is more
you will get to know what is the
connection between depression
and sex. How we can inuence on
psychological problems of todays’
world. Finally we are working on
workshops about PTSD and the new
ways of dealing with this problems.

fundraising
IFMSA-Poland, with its 12 Local Committeescooperates in an effective and sustainable way
with over 1000 companies and institutions. Foryears, we have been developing our marketingpractices to train creative, independent andhardworking individuals combined into anational marketing dream-team to lead on thepromotion and marketing of our projects and
events.
EuRegMe is an event organized by membersof the IFMSA-Poland on a volunteer-basis.
However, it cannot take place without itsnancial resources. This is the point where we,the committee of Sponsors and Fundraising, will appear. The committee of Sponsors andFundraising consists of several enthusiastic, dedicated students who will make every effortto make this conference nancially possible.
We will do our very best to contact
and inform companies, in order to establish agood cooperation between the sponsors and
EuRegMe Organizing Committee.
Due to the fact that we are one of the biggeststudent conferences for medical students
within Europe and due to the numerousnational and international students attending,we have a great amount of opportunities tooffer. Hence, making EuRegMe very attractivefor potential sponsors. Being a sponsor ofEuRegMe allows extensive prospects for bothlarge and small companies to create moreawareness for the company, subsequentlyacquiring new business opportunities. Ourpurpose is to establish an agreement of mutualbenets. We rely on corporate sponsorship tokeep fee prices low for attendees, as well ashelp cover the cost of venue rental, prepareoutstanding welcome packages and socialprogramme.
Our partners are carefully selected andcommitted institutional partners, from
associations to universities, who are strongsupporters of non-govermental movement.
Both partners and sponsors are grantedexcellent visibility at the conference in
addition to year-round benets related to ourinitiatives.
We are also adopting pharm-free fundraisingpolicy, which is trying to remove the big

euregMe budgeTEastern Europe has long been known as a budget holiday destination, a nd a recent survey has conrmed this by revealing that Poland
provides the best-value good-quality hotel accommodation in Europe.
The research, compiled by Hotels.com, placed the Polish capital Warsaw in the ten most-affordable luxury hotels list.
n 2011 average room prices in Warsaw’s ve-star hotels were just £84, better value than other Eastern European capitals such as
Budapest (£105) and Tallinn in Estonia (£112).
Low prices helped us to create a stable budget relating to the fees in the european currency - every IFMSA-Poland National General
Assembly lasts only one day shorter than EuRegMe and it’s price has never exceeded 70 euros - almost half of the price of early
egistrations’ fees.
We strongly believe, that preparing an expensive IFMSA meeting that are not sustainable could cause a large nancial risk, which is
not acceptable.
Our goal was to prepare a cost effective and sustainable proposition, whose costs are fully covered by the participation fees and
stable sources of funding - annual budget of IFMSA-Poland and Local Committee Warsaw, with a support from Warsaw Medical
University.
Due to the fact that we are one of the biggest student conferences for medical students within Europe and due to the numerous
national and international students attending, we have a great amount of opportunities to offer. Hence, making EuRegMe very
attractive for potential sponsors.
We rely on corporate sponsorship to make proposed fee prices lower for attendees, as well a s help cover the cost of venue rental,
prepare outstanding welcome packages and social programme.

welCoMe Topoland!Poland is a beautiful country situated in the center of Europe. From marvelous
mountains in the south to breathtaking landscapes by the Baltic sea shore we are ready
to host you in Polska!
After becoming a member of the European Union in 2004 we lived a huge development
n our economy and infrastructure with investments in city transportations and facilities.
In comparison to the other European countries we are still a green island of cheap places
to go out and stay in, so with our student pockets we will be a ble to give you a high standard
for a fair price.
Poland has areas of outstanding natural value, both europeanwide and worldwide. There are
still places hardly touched by the civilization, like the wild and desolate Bieszczady Mou ntains
with their spectacular pastures known as poloniny, and the inaccessible ood plains along
the Biebrza River, home to many rare bird species and beavers, sometimes found nowhere else
n Europe. Białowieża Forest, located in the eastern part of Poland is one of a very few ancient
woodlands in Europe. It is one of the largest remaining parts of the immense primaeval forest that
once stretched across the European Plain. Still untouched by the human forest management, remains
as a place where the species of Bison Bonasus, the European Bison was saved from total extinction.

whaT are we
faMous for?
Many Polish towns, institutions and organizations have the stork
in their names, emblems or logos, which best shows how much the
bird is revered in the country. It was also Poland’s mascot at the
Expo 2000 in Hanover. The stork comes to Poland each year in
thousands and is one of the main symbols of the country.
Poland was given an amazing opportunity to co-host Euro 2012.
We took it, used it and now everybody wants to be back to the
country with the best parties and nightlife in Europe!
During EuRegMe you will be able to experience polish hospitality
and fun! You denitely have to try partying in a polish style!
One of the things that keeps people coming back to Poland is the
delicious polish cuisine. Unlike the common worldwide pattern,
Poland has its own meals schedule. Solid breakfast, 2-dishes
dinner in the middle of the day and supper in the evening are the
meals that differ.
Polish cuisine has variety of tastes. From consummate baked
meat, kiełbasa, schabowy and golonka with bigos, through the
lighter traditional pierogi with plenty of tastes – sweet and sour,
salty and hot, to the sweeter part of the cuisine – plenty of cakes
and sweet candys, ex. Krówki or Kukułki. One of the typical polish
types of dishes are the soups. The variety can give you a pleasant
surprise and satisfy even the most demanding palate.
Of course we have to mention here one of the landmarks of Poland
in the party mode, which is polish vodka. Even though many people
may not like it – we guarantee that you’ll be able to taste so many
kinds of vodka – going through fruit avours, spices and herbs,
even to honey. We will surely nd one that suits your taste!.
Poland is the cheapest country in Europe in the matter of food,
groceries and non-alcoholic beverages.
Within in the years Poland has become one of the most visited
countries in Europe and given good marks by all their tourists as
one of the most interesting, historically and culturally speaking
places. A charming land that will denitely enchant you as well!
