They are committed to the Victorian water industry incorporating Aboriginal customary knowledge into water management. To provide an introduction to the Government policy agenda for Aboriginal Water and discuss the implications this will have on the Victorian water industry. You will learn about recent research work happening in this field and some of the emerging tools available to incorporate Aboriginal values into water planning and management. Will Mooney Executive Officer, Murray Lower Darling Rivers Indigenous Nations (MLDRIN) Will has published papers on environmental history and migration. He was shortlisted for a Nature Conservancy Australia Nature Writing Prize and has been actively involved in raising awareness about Indigenous water rights. Jason King Manager, Aboriginal Water Program, Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) Jason has been a voice for a range of Aboriginal issues supporting government initiatives across health & environmental areas. Marnie Ireland Divisional Manager, Sustainable Growth Planning, Yarra Valley Water Marnie has significant executive experience in Government, non- profit and private sectors, facilitating collaborative strategic planning processes with particular expertise in business development, Integrated Water Resources Management and Indigenous economic development.
