Regular Bilateral Consultation Meetings
Bilateral consultations between ACEA and JAMA were launched in
the 1990s. A total of 13 consultation meetings have been held since
then to discuss and advance a common agenda between the two
organizations. Common-agenda topics include automotive
environmental performance, vehicle safety, and relations with third
countries.
In 2013, the following topics were jointly discussed by JAMA/ACEA:
EU-Japan EPA Relations with third countries (eg, China, Ukraine, Russia) CO2 reduction (measures for low-carbon transport) New exhaust emissions test procedure for light-duty vehicles (WLTP) IWVTA (International Whole Vehicle Type Approval) EV Charging standardization (CHAdeMO)
