Amrutdham,Panchvati,Nashik-422003 Seminar/ Training/Workshop organized by institute SPARK-IT “State Level Paper Presentation Competition” The institute has organized a State Level Paper Presentation Competition “Spark-IT” for the students of Computer and Electronics of state level polytechnic on 1 st of March 2016.Total 255 students from 07 different Institutes of Maharashtra State were participated in the competition. Principal Prof.Mrs.V.R.Khapli was the Convener for the event while Mr.V.S.Tarle (HOD-EJ), Mr.H.M.Gaikwad (HOD-CM), Mrs.N.S.Gite (HOD-IF) and Mrs.M.T.Surywanshi (HOD-ET) were the co- conveners. Women's Day celebration with talk show on 'Fantastic Five' women Entrepreneurs Dept. of Computer Technology organized a talk show on 'Fantastic Five' on Tue, 8th March 2016 on the occasion of International Women's Day. Five young women entrepreneurs who are committee members of Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture, Nashik participated in the talk show- 1.Mrs.Neha Khare, Chairperson, Young Entrepreneur Committee, MACCIA. 2. Mrs. Pradnya Patil, Woman Entrepreneurs Sub Committee,MACCIA. 3. Ms. Sunita Phalgune, Chairperson, Food Processing Ind. Sub-Committee, MACCIA. 4. Ms. Neha Mhaispurkar, Woman Entrepreneur 5. Mrs. Sonal Dagade, Co-Chairperson, Woman Entrepreneurs Sub Committee, MACCIA. In this talk show, these 5 Young Women Entrepreneurs interacted with final year students and focused mainly on Networking, Marketing, Product, Finance & Management. They encouraged students to step into entrepreneurship and to become a successful businesswoman. The institute has organized a State Level Paper

Presentation Competition “Spark-IT” for the

students of Computer and Electronics of state

(Principal, K. K. Women’s Polytechnic) gave a

warm welcome to all the guests and guided the

students about the importance of the

International Women’s Day. All the guests

guided the students on ‘How to empower the

women?, Tips for self-development, Self-

security, Confidence building, Setting proper

goals in life and achieving that goals with

passion Also they encouraged the students by

giving the real examples of successful women.

Seminar on Fiber Optic Communication

System:

Department of Electronics and

Telecommunication has organized a seminar on

“Fiber Optic Communication System” on

05 March 2016 for second year students.

Dr.Mrs.Sunita Patil was the speaker for this

seminar. Dr.Sunita Patil is working as Ass.

Professor at KKWIEER, Nashik. The seminar

Started with the history of FOC, and

constructional details of it. She gave the

information about optical sources and detectors.

Students gain the knowledge of Advantages

Disadvantages and Applications FOC. She

explained the how attenuation occurs due to

absorption , scattering ,dispersion etc. In this

way the second year students aware about

transmission medium i.e FOC.

Seminar on MATLAB Programming:

Department of Electronics and

Telecommunication and Communication has

organized a seminar on “MATLAB

Programming” on 2nd March 2016 for third

year students. Mr. Yogeh Risodkar and

Mr.M.K.Sangole was the speaker for this

seminar. They are working as Asst. Professor at

Sandip Foundation,Nashik. They started the

seminar with introduction of software like lab

view and MATLAB which are commonly used

by electronics engineers. They gave the

knowledge to students regarding how to use

various library functions available in the

software , as well as how to construct circuit

diagram using library functions. They explained

application of MATLAB in the field of

communication, control and digital system

without using hardware. In this way the seminar

is beneficial to third year students.

Tutorial Project

PHP and MySQL Training under Spoken

Tutorial Project, IIT Bombay, funded by

National Mission on Education through ICT,

MHRD, Govt., of India.

11 students of second year Computer

Technology has successfully completed this

training and passed an online exam, conducted

remotely from IIT Bombay on 12th March 2016.

Project Exhibition cum Competition (Pro-Ex

2016):

A Project Exhibition-cum-Competition (Pro-Ex

2016) was organized by the Dept. of Computer

Technology on 12th March 2016 for Third Year

students. Total 21 project models by 63 students

were presented in the competition. Prof. Mrs. V.

R. Khapli, Principal, inaugurated the event and

visited the exhibition. The Students of Second

year Computer Technology visited the exhibition

and gain the knowledge of how to develop &

present a project. This exhibition will help the

second year students to develop their projects in

next academic year. Ms. Priyanka Ambekar, Sr.

Engineer, Seagate Technologies, Pune, Mr.

Nilesh Patil, Project Manager, Sumago Infotech,

Nashik was the judges of the competition. They

evaluated the project work critically and selected

the best project. The “Eye tracking based driver

fatique monitoring and warming system”

developed by Wagh Prachi, Wagh Ashwini,

Sonawane Monali was selected as best project of

the competition. This competition helped the

students to increase their presentation skills and

confidence.

Farewell Function:

A farewell function was organized by the

OCEAN Association of Dept. of Computer

Technology on 26th March 2016 for Third Year

students. Prof. Mrs. V. R. Khapli, Principal,

inaugurated the event. The event was coordinated

by Ms R.A. Bhadane & Mrs. B.V. Pawar along

with the members of OCEAN Association. After

inauguration the gifts are distributed to the Third

year students as a token of love from FY & SY

students. The students of Third Year shared their

experience of three years in the institute as well

as experience with various staff. The various

Awards are given by the Department of

Computer by the hands of Principal. The best

outgoing student award was given to Ms. Poooja

Pangavhane, The Most regular student award

was given to Ms. Gayatri Bhagwat, the best

practical performance award given to Ms. Pooja

Vora and finally the best project award was

given to the “Eye tracking based Driver fatique

monitoring and warning system” project

developed by Prachi Wagh, Ashwini Wagh,

Monali Sonawane. The event was continued with

cultural programs followed by refreshment. At

the end of the event all the staff member shared

their experience with this batch and guided them.

All students of FY, SY, and TY enjoyed the

event very much.

system Pvt.Ltd, Sinner. He was judge for this

exhibition. Mr.D.Z.Kapse visited and gave his

suggestions regarding project to students. TYEJ

Students from department actively participated

and won prize in this event.

Expert Lecture on “Scripting Technology” Department of Information Technology has

conducted seminarn the topic “Servlets and

JSP” on 5th March 2016 from for the Final

Year Students . The speaker for the seminar

was Mr. Nikam Hemant(Developer, Astiwz

Technologies, Nasik). He explained the

concepts of servlet, the lifecycle of servlet and

JSP, the concept about threads, sessions and

request dispatching. He also introduced the

concept of Tag libraries and filters. He then

introduced the use of tools like net beans and

eclipse for the IDE of dynamic website

designing. Some demos were shown to clear

out the concepts. Students gained an insight of

dynamic website development and gathered

knowledge of server side scripting

Workshop on Global Youth Employability

Initiative .

The institute has organized a five days workshop

on Global Youth Employability Initiative for

third year students from 18 March 2016 to 23

March 2016. Mr. Chirag Patil International

trainer of art of living and Akshay Patil, Trainer ,

Art of living , Nasik Center guided the students.

The main objective of this programme was to

enhance employability skills and potential among

students. Various contents were covered under

this five days workshop which includes life/ soft

skills, Yoga, pre- placement preparation,

mentoring, Sudarshan Kriya, warm up exercises,

positive thinking, time management, change

mindset , give 100% to society, accept people

and situation as it is etc.

Third year Students

Department of Electronics and

Telecommunication has organized a Farewell

Function for third year students on 30th march

2016. The chief guest for the function was Prof.

Mrs.V.R.Khapli (Principal,K.K.Wagh Women’s

Polytechnic, Nashik). The function was

coordinated by the first and second year students.

Principal informed the students about their new

role as alumni and offered best wishes for their

bright future. Third year students shared their

experiences regarding their journey in this

college and also about the staff members and

classmates. This was followed by games and

prize distribution ceremony. A small token of

love was given to every student of third year.

Second year students concluded the function by

offering the vote of thanks..

Expert talk on “Health Awareness”

An expert talk on “Health Awareness” was

organized by the Institute on account of

Women’s Day. Speaker for the talk was Dr. Mrs.

Pimpralekar Gauree, Consultant-Gyancelogist,

Sahyadri, Hospital, Nashik. She guided the

students regarding the importance of health in

Women, the different problems that can arise and

how to overcome them. She also guided them

regarding the importance of yoga and meditation

and its use in increasing the concentration in

studies. She also guided the students regarding

maintaining the diet and exercising regularly.

Project Exhibition cum Competition for the

Final Year Students

A project exhibition cum competition was

organized by Information Technology

Department for the Final Year students on 14th

March 2016. Sixteen projects from different

fields like information security, android, image

processing search engine optimization, data

mining etc were kept for the display. Mr.

Sonawane Kundan (Developer, VSYS Pvt. LTD.,

Nashik) judged the competition. The students

explained the importance and concept of their

projects to the audience. Principal

Prof.Mrs.V.R.Khapli also reviewed the projects

and gave her valuable suggestions and guidance

to the students. The project titled “Data Leakage

Detection” won the First Prize. Group members

were Rohini Gurav Pratiksha Shirude and Preeti

Naik. While the project titled “Android app for

Kasar Samaj” won the second prize comprising

of the group members Ms.Shivani Kasar and Ms.

Pratiksha Khairnar.

The Information Technology Department

successfully conducted the spoken tutorial for the

subject C++ for the Second Year Students.

The Organizer for the same was Mrs.D.D.Pawar

(Lecturer, Information technology Department)

of which 11 students successfully passed the

examination.

Farewell Function

A farewell function was organized for the Final

Year students on 31st March 2016.Principal

Prof.Mrs.V.R.Khapli addressed the session and

extended her best wishes to the students for a

bright future. Head of the Department,

Mrs.N.S.Gite then briefed about the progress of

the outgoing batch and wished them a successful

future. This was followed by the prize

distribution ceremony where in the toppers and

winners were felicitated. Ms.Kinjal Pokar was

awarded the “Best Outgoing Student”. The

students then enjoyed some cultural events and

refreshment. The final year students gave their

feedback and their journey in the department for

the three years.
