Today I will learn the differences between ethnic groups and religious groups and literacy ratesbecause both have an enormous impact on the culture of a society.

Ethnic Group or Religious Group?

You will view various pictures that represent either an ethnic group or a religious group. If you think the picture is an ethnic group you will hold up the “E” card. If you think the picture represents a religious group you will hold up the “R” card.

Ethnic Groups and Religious Groups

Religious Group: made up of people who are similar because of their common belief in a religious claim.

Ethnic group: made up of people who have a similar language and culture who often share common values and religion. In many cases, a group is made of of members of the same race or people who share the same lanugage and culture.
