24TH ANNUAL STATEWIDE KINSMAN BIOETHICS CONFERENCE THE RIVERHOUSE CONFERENCE CENTER - BEND, OR

Keynote Speakers: Jodi Halpern, MD, PhD – University of California, Berkeley Michael Rabow, MD – University of California, San Francisco Target Audience: An essential conference for anyone interested in broadening their knowledge of the current issues in clinical ethics, compassionate communication and palliative care. Learning Objectives:

1. To enhance abilities to integrate ethical, psychosocial and spiritual perspectives to support patients near the end of life and their families.

2. To enhance abilities to practice and teach communications skills that promote positive therapeutic relationships, shared decision making, interprofessional collaboration, and safe, high quality patient care.

3. To encourage familiarity with ethical frameworks and their application to ongoing and newly emerging ethical issues in the delivery, organization, and financing of health care for individuals and populations.
