Not only is EDA able to deliver triple play services (video,voice and data) to the home; with this system it is alsopossible to enable different priorities to the differentapplications to secure the right quality of service.

IP DSLAMThe Ethernet DSL Access IP DSLAM is the perfectbroadband solution for mass volume rollout on large aswell as small sites. It is designed to remove accessbottlenecks and minimize transmission and equipmentcosts. The system offers unique scalability from large COsites to small remote installations, and the use of PublicEthernet for transmission makes it very cost-efficient.

Ethernet DSL Access is a cornerstone of the PublicEthernet portfolio. Public Ethernet is Ericsson’s way ofusing the Ethernet technology in a completely new andimproved way. By using Public Ethernet as transmissiontechnology, the necessary criteria for security, quality andstability is secured. The EDA system contains TelecomGrade availability, which makes it extremely stable andprovides an uptime of 99.999%.

The EDA IP DSLAM offers a plug and play multicastsolution which secures near future requirements forbandwidth demand and services, such as POTS, data,Video-on-Demand, TV multicast, gaming, shopping andfile sharing.

The IP DSLAM supports both multi Annex and multiADSL standards. This range of possibilities offers a freechoice on a per line basis meaning that there can bemulti ADSL standards on one single hardware.
