Your advisor is key to your Walker’s experience.You will have lunch with your advisor and your

special advisee group every week, and your advisorwill be there throughout your Middle School years totalk with you about your classes, your interests, andopportunities.You advisor will care about how things

are going for you. Alumnae of Walker’s still keep intouch with their advisors many years after

graduation – it’s a very special relationship.

At Walker’s, we teach our girlsabout their responsibility tomake a difference in the world.Tending the School’s organic garden,mentoring elementary schoolchildren, running book and fooddrives, helping a village in Africa haveaccess to clean water : all these areopportunities for our studentsto learn about the worldwhile they arechanging it for thebetter.The bestpart is, if you havean idea, share it,and you can make it happen!

Academics are a priority at Walker’s,and unlike other schools who say theyhave five academic subjects (math, science,language arts, history and language), wehave SIX! The arts are critical to all wedo in the Middle School. Music, dance,theater, and especially the visual arts atWalker’s are vibrant, interactiveprograms where you will discover yourinner artist. Play in the orchestra, sing inthe choir, participate in drum circle. Make abowl on the pottery wheel as a gift, or todonate to our Empty Bowls project. Star inthe Middle School play or help design thecolorful set.

will know everyone in your grade and many others as well.Walker’s Upper and Middle Schools join together for many

events, so you will get to know sophomores and seniors alike.

teams all have great records and allow you tolearn the sport but also to enjoy great team
