Services Cluster: Support Services in

partnership with the Department of

Education and the University of KwaZulu-

Natal – College of Agriculture, Engineering

and Science hosted the 2016 Career

Symposium at the University of KwaZulu-

Natal Edgewood Campus on the 18th of

April up until the 22nd of April 2016.

This event was hosted specifically for

Mathematics and Physical Science

Learners in grade 12 as this project offered

guidance for career choices for the

learners.

The Department of Education (Umlazi and

Pinetown Districts) identified the schools

that were selected to participate in the

2016 Career Symposium. The Symposium

was a distinctive platform upon which

learners can receive valuable information.

The purpose of the event was to ultimately

ensure wise decision making with regards

to future career choices within the Science,

Technology, Engineering and Mathematics

(STEM) disciplines.
