The Teacher Education Department invites applications for the 2016-2018 Visiting Professor of Educational Innovation with expertise in educational leadership to oversee graduate program modification and expansion. The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate all aspects of creating an innovative doctoral program in education leadership and refresh the curriculum for a master’s program to meet the identified needs of the P-12 school community. Additionally the successful candidates will engage in graduate-level teaching and advising; work collegially with other faculty; participate in university and community engagement; and work collaboratively with public/private P-12 schools as well as regional, state, and national education agencies/professional organizations. Minimum qualifications include an earned doctorate in Education with emphasis in educational leadership or a closely related field and a record of excellence in teaching, research and service. The qualified candidate must currently hold the rank of full professor. Candidates must have recognized strengths as an educator; demonstrated ability to design and implement innovative graduate programs in educational leadership; experience with program development, approval and accreditation; and, successful experience collaborating with P-12 public and private schools.
