Characteristics

A king cobra can grow to 18 feet. Cobras have smooth shiny skins of different colors and patterns.

Habitat

Cobras live in Asia, India and Africa.

They usually are found close to water and they swim.

Diet

The king cobra usually eats other snakes including cobras. Cobras also eat rats, mice, frogs, birds and eggs.

Defense

Cobras can camouflage so that it can hide and catch prey.

If a predator sees the cobra, it will puff out its neck to make it look bigger. On the back side of the neck it will look like 2 eyes.

Fact

In China many people believe that eating cobra meat will cure some diseases.
