Modelling and analysis

Our designers pay close attention to materials science. As a result of ourresearch programme we now use higher grades of steel and other materialsthan ever before.

Carefully designed products will always outperform and outlast cheaperoff-the-shelf components. Lower maintenance means lower lifetime costs.

Using new creative technologies including solid modelling and FE analysis Eurotech Benelux has left behind the traditional boundaries of design. Ourin-house finite element and structural analysis software helps analyse thebehaviour of every component and load path in each system at its ultimatelimit state.

A 3D design initiated in a European office in the morning can be convertedovernight into manufacturing drawings in Beijing, proofed the next day, beforesending out to the client for approval.

Eurotech Benelux has made componentsfor some of the largest excavating dredgerscurrently in service.

We have long experience of manufacturing vitaldredging and offshore components includingbeams, buckets, running wheels and rope sheaves,hinges, barge and vessel fendering.

Work is always carried out to the exact customerspecification. A full range of finishes and surfacetreatments is available and, as with every EurotechBenelux product, each part undergoes stringentquality control before leaving the factory.

Casting equipment includes arc furnaces from 280 tonnes, 12150 tonne ladle refining furnaces,60 and 160 tonne VD/VOD refining furnaces, and R-H vacuum circulating degassing units.Casting weights up to 600 tonnes are possible for carbon steel, 30 tonnes for grey iron, 20tonnes for spherical graphite iron, and 2.5 tonnes for non-ferrous metals.

As well as a comprehensive suite of drop forging equipment, Eurotech Benelux produces forged

annular rings up to 10m in diameter.

These machine parts include large hinges (bearings, bushings, pins), crankshafts and special pivot and clampassemblies. Components can be made in any materials by casting or forging. Maching, grinding and surfacetreatments will be carried out to your exact requirements.
