 ANNOUNC EMENTS We need your input!  The group planning Pastor Kimes’ farewell lunch on June 8 is creating a tribute presentation to be shown at the event, and we need your memories. Over the past 16 years we have all had great moments with Pastor Kimes, whether it was at a fellowship event, working alongside him in ministry, or just hanging out. If you have pictures of Re verend Kimes and maybe a story to tell, we want your input on a tribute video we are creating. If you have any photos that fit that description, please label them with a caption and your name and drop t hem in the box provided at the Welcome Center in Oberholtzer Hall. If your photos are in a d igital format, you can email them to Mark Mayers at [email protected] . Sunday School News Changes are coming starting April 6 th . Sunday school students will go to worship with their family during the first part of the 9:45 a.m. service. The students will sit with their family until they are dismissed bef ore the time of prayer. At that time there will be a teacher to escort students down to their respective classrooms where they will continue to have lessons using The Story as their curr iculum. We feel that this is a good way to help them grow in their faith and a great time for parents to share their faith with them! Organ Series 2014 Concerts Sundays at 3 pm (free and open to the public)  April 27  Broadway and classical pieces performed by local professionals, Otis French, euphonium, Marta Oberlin, cl arinet, and Sara Ferguson, soprano, in solo and ensemble with our Andy, Joe, and Pauline. An offering will benefit Family Promise. July 13   Songfest is a sing-along of sacred favorites in various styles led by our team members and guests. Sept. 21   Organ concert by Dr. Shelly Moorman-Stahlman, solo artist and professor at Lebanon Valley College. Praise the Lord   Let’s put Psalm 150 into practice!  Contact [email protected]  to volunteer help with publicity . Reaching Out  Members of the church family who are no longer able to attend services are always happy to hear from you! Cards and notes may be sent to Gladys McKay, Grace Park, 1170 W. Main Street, Stroudsburg, Pa. 18360. The care team will be making Easter crafts and plates of cookies for our folks who are no longer able to attend church. If you are able to help to deliver these plates during the week of April 6 th , contact Peggy, 421-3280, ext. 23. Stephen Ministry  God is love. The purpose of this M.I.A. p rogram is to let folks know that they are missed and to assess any way in which the church may be helpful to them. If you are attending chur ch, please fill out the communication card to register your attendance so the team does not call you u nnecessarily. Thank you! This weeks Lenten Service will take place on Wednesday, March 26 th  at 7:00 p.m. at Woodale UMC at 7:00 p .m. The theme will be Psalm 51, lead by Pastor Amy Banka.

Shingles Vaccine at 11 am on April 8th 

Shingles vaccines are being offering by the Pa. Dept. of Health atthe Homeless Initiative Day Center located at 130 North First Streetin Stroudsburg. You are eligible for vaccines at LOW (maximum$5.00 cost) or NO COST if you are: underinsured (insurancedoesn’t cover vaccine) or uninsured (no insurance). 2014 ESUMC Men’s Weekend Retreat 

Join us next weekend for our Annual Retreat at Camp Brainerd inSnydersville, PA from Friday, March 28th to Sunday March 30th. Theweekend consists of good food and fellowship, interestingdiscussions, spiritual growth, and friendly competitions. Cost of theweekend is $80 payable to ESUMC and Men’s Retreat on the memoline. Spring Adult Mission TripThe Spring Adult Mission trip is to Ocean City, NJ to help in therelief of Sandy. The cost is unknown at this time. We will be

leaving Sunday afternoon on April 27th and coming back Friday,May 2nd or Saturday, May 3rd. If interested, please contact WayneMertz at [email protected] or (570) 730-9240. Scholarships areavailable. All skill levels are wanted and needed.

Children's Ministry News 

Foundations Christian PreschoolFoundations Christian Preschool, located in the lower level of thechurch, is currently accepting registrations for the 2014-2015 Schoolyear. Registration forms can be located at the Welcome Center inOberholtzer Hall or the church office . Those interested in taking a tour

of the preschool facilities should call Pam O'Brien at (570) 421-3280 toarrange a visit. If you have any questions you can call or email [email protected] 

 Vacation Bible School  Are you sick of winter? Then get away to a tropical island -Son Treasure Island ! Vacation Bible School will take place July7th- 11th from 9:00 a.m. -12:00 Noon. Mark your calendarand make a reservation to visit Son Treasure Island in July.

  If you are interested in volunteering for the week or part of

the week, then call Pam O'Brien.  We are looking for a skit leader and actors/actresses to

perform daily at the opening and closing of Vacation BibleSchool. If interested- call or email Mrs. O'Brien.

Family Promise of Monroe County Luncheon & Fashion Show

Last Week for College Care Package Gift Card CollectionMany of our college students have had a rough semester copingwith weather challenges. Let’s cheer them up and remind themthat their ESUMC family cares. If you can pick up a $10 gift card

from Starbucks, Dunkin’ Donuts, CVS, McDonald’s, or other college-age friendly site, please donate it to the College-age Ministry to beincluded in the cards and letters we send out in April. You can dropthem in the collection plate or in the office anytime before April 1st.Help us show all that ESUMC cares!
