I. ESTABLISHMENT OF A CENTER FOR INDUSTRY AND
TRADE EXPOSITION (CITEX)
Formerly entitled, Establishment of the Cebu International Trade
and
Exhibition Center.
PROJECT PROFILE
OBJECTIVE: The project aims to enhance the competitiveness of
micro, small
and medium enterprises in the Visayas and Mindanao regions,
and
increase their contribution to national economic growth. At the
end
of the project, DTI expects to accomplish the ff targets: a) a
facility
for industry & trade exposition equipped with training &
exhibition
facilities; b) systematic capacity development of budding &
existing
entrepreneurs through SME Info Support; SME Counseling
&Advisory program; Partnership, Marketing & Technical
Support; &
other related activities; and, c) increase # of international
& regional
trade fairs, exhibitions & conferences for MSME
development.
DESCRIPTION: CITEX will be located at G. Ouano Ave., South
Special
Administrative Zone, Mandaue City, Cebu. A bldg facility will
be
constructed for the purpose of housing the diff functions of
CITEX,
w/c includes conduct of trainings, meetings, conferences
&
exhibitions where local, provincial, regional, national &
even
international fairs will be held. The project is expected to
directlybenefit approximately 265,619 existing MSMEs throughout
Visayas
& Mindanao.

II. EXPANSION AND DEVELOPMENT OF EAST BAJAC-BAJAC PUBLIC MARKET
(OLONGAPO CITY,ZAMBALES)
PROJECT PROFILE
OBJECTIVE: The project will address the increasing demand of
market andtrading facilities and considerably reduce informal and
ambulantstreet vendors. Amidst the increasing migration for the
past severalyears. the project will substantially facilitate the
increasing volumeof trading and commerce activity in the City.
DESCRIPTION: The project is primarily a construction of a
5-storey building with anestimated 1,941 commercial units and 171
parking slots for publicand private vehicles. The first and second
floor will be allotted foragricultural and manufacturing foods. The
third floor will be themarket administrative and processing center
and the fourth floor willbe the parking area for vehicles.
Maximizing the structure, thebuilding will feature a roof deck for
purposes of emergencies andother exigencies. Following the
establishment of the project, acapacity development component for
the market management andadministrative organization will be
conducted. Trainings on product
standard inspections and market will be the City
Governmentscounterpart in the project.

III. ESTABLISHMENT OF A SANITARY LANDFILL ANDINSTALLATION OF A
SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENTSYSTEM FOR THE PROVINCE OF LAGUNA
PROJECT PROFILE
OBJECTIVE: The ultimate goal is to reduce volume of generated
wastes bymeans of segregation at source, recycling, and composting
and toestablish a disposable facility and solid wastes
managementsystems under the control of Provincial government.
DESCRIPTION: Construction of a Sanitary Landfill facility,
including the requiredaccessories and provision of equipment and
transport facilitiesrequired in the operation of the sanitary
landfill.
