GAS & GO RAFFLE

It sounds like we have so many Fund Raisers. Well truth be told, we do.

Please note that The Heritage Museum is a non-profit organization. So let me explain – Any money earned by a non-profit organization must be retained by the organization, and used for its own expenses, operations and programs. We are in a Business district, so we pay business prices for operating expenses.

This is why we fund raise so much. Our Museum is “FREE” to the public.

So if you haven’t bought tickets and would like to, visit us on Saturday from 10 am – 2 pm. There are tickets at the door.

Wouldn’t you like to win Gas for your car?

This is a wonderful opportunity to support the museum and also have a chance to win 100 gallons of gas. We only print 1,000 tickets, and remember this is tax deductible.

Ron recently received the Wounded Warriors Blanket for the $1000 donation he was able to provide from contributions made by Essex Day participants. We Salute you Ron! Thank you for

There are so many things that need to be done and we can always use Volunteers. If you would like to join a great team of people trying to keep the Memories of Essex & Middle River Alive please let us know.

Saturday - August 9th George Weiss and Sandy Gruzs spent the day at the Glenn L. Martin museum with our display to share information about our museum. At the same time there was a celebration for the Rosie the Riveter’s.

Friday – August 15th Kodie S. and Gene hung the height sign on the jail cell door. Now you can see how tall you really are.

Friday – August 15th June, Carol and Sandy Z. finally got the pictures hung up on the Entertainment Hall of Fame Wall.

Thanks to George Weiss and Sandy Gruzs for getting us supplies to hang our new flag and the great job they did hanging it. Visit us on Sunday, October 26th to see the Entertainment Hall of Fame Celebrations. According to Buddy Love, (founder of the Entertainment Hall of Fame) he has indicated you will see some of your favorite artist. More to come with who will be there.

BELATED THANKSWe would like to thank Debbie Wynn, from the Glenn L. Martin museum for all of the assistances she has given us. She took us on a tour of the museum and Airplanes. It is a great place to visit. Working with Debbie has been a joy. She has also given us much information on advertising and grants. So we will be busy working on some new ideas to help us qualify for both.

COURT YARDThanks to Carol Karwacki, Kodie Soistman, Gene & Sandy Zinkhan and our President June Donovan for their hard work in keeping the Court Yard clean and also for planting the Hosta’s. The Hosta’s were donated by Carol’s mom. Thanks so much!
