Replaces the Global Healthcare, Global Current Quarter, and BioScience

    CoFe databases.

Will contain the current year and prior year actuals balances (e.g. 2010 and

2009) for all ERPs and companies.

Account structure stops at global accountsno ERP specific balances.

Operating Plan (OP) will be loaded each year.

    Future Development

Drill to Balances will bring back the ERP balances that make up the global

    WHY WOULD THIS HAPPEN ?

    The hierarchy is ragged

meaning that not all membershave the same number ofparents.

HCS Americas Enterprise is atthe input/zero level. However,HCS Americas Legal has

    additional children.

When trying to select the datayou want, you need to be awareof what the level or generation isthat you are looking at.

This example shows how Levels can differ even though the generation is the same.

Though this is Center, the concept holds true for all dimensions.

After clicking on Query Designer worksheets some ad hoc operations are disabled

until the query is launched and the report is populated.

    Operations enabled ONLYAFTER running queries:

    Blank Rows and Columns

    Changes to Alias tables

    Ad Hoc actions such as

    Zoom-In Zoom-Out Keep-Only Remove-Only Double-Click

Reminder: If any of the changes listed to

Query Designer benefits over ad-hoc reporting

Dynamic selections can be retained. For

    example, if AC_J73320000_Expense is chosen

with its 16 G level children, rerunning the query

would pick up if a 17thG level was added. Dimensions are placed in the way that

Query DesignerFilter SyntaxWhen using Query Designer to make dimension selections, instead of

displaying what will be shown on the report, it shows the code used to

bring back the results. Similar to most languages, syntax refers to therules for the proper creation of a sentence, in this case a line ofprogramming code.

For Example: To filter for Descendants of Net Income, the syntax is

    DESCENDANTS([AC_N95000000 Net Income])

You can modify the syntax statement by editing the cell. Instead ofmaking multiple selections you can copy and paste the statement andreplace the member, the account in this case

For Example: To add the Descendants of Balance Sheet the report wouldlook like this:

    DESCENDANTS([AC_N95000000 Net Income])

    DESCENDANTS([AC_P00000000_Balance Sheet])

To present data, Word or PowerPoint is often preferable to Excel.

Smart View enables you to copy data points from Excel and paste theminto Word or PowerPoint, creating linked views (dynamic data) betweenapplications.

You can copy and paste data points from:

    PowerPoint to Word and PowerPoint

The data points retain their original Excel-based query information, thus
