The best way to reduce the number of traffic accidents is to raise() age limit for

the younger drivers and lower age limit for the aged. Do you agree?

Despite the development upon  technologies and cars  production, there is still an  high

number of traffic accidents throughout the world. I agree that one should low  the age limit

for aged drivers, but do not agree that younger ones should drive before they are 18 years-

    old.

Take the american youngsters, for instance. They are allowed to drive when they are only

16 years-old, which is an age when the human being can barely have a reliable sense of

responsability  and awareness towards danger surrounding him. Therefore, a sixteen year-old

kid might still be irresponsible and rather imature  and should not be allowed to drive a car.

On the other hand, it is true that beggining  to drive at this age can be a reason for a faster

development of a person´s  mind and might turn him into a more independant  human being.

Concerning to aged people , I truly believe that they should not be allowed to drive after 75

years-old. This is because when they are over 75 they start to lose vital functions of the brain,

and as a consequence their concentration is poorer. My grandfather is an example of this, as

I believe sometimes() he is not aware of road directions and even other cars. When he is

driving and I sit beside him, he asks me several times some directions that he used to know

accurately some years ago. But, on the other hand, it might be rather cruel to not allow aged

ones to drive. Like my grandfather, many old people find driving a quite pleasant activity.

Therefore, they can develop depressive thoughts if they cannot drive and get out of their

homes. Old people should find interest in life, rather then pursuing dull lifestyles.

But we have to be realistic, and despite this negative impact towards aged people, one

should keep them away from highways. Old people should only be allowed to drive whithin

local roads, and with a speed limit. They should also do  frequent checkups to  their sight and

    listening capacities.

To sum up, I believe that some efforts have to be done  in order to decrease the number of

traffic accidents. This can only be achievable  through the reduction of the age limit for aged

drivers and the establishment of a global age of 18 years-old to get a driver licence

This is a good essay, the introduction, body and conclusion paragraphs are

well set out but you must concentrate on your spelling! Your grammar is

very good and the style is easy to follow, well done.

However, the statement asks whether you agree that the best way to

reduce the number of traffic accidents is to lower the age limit for

driving for the aged, not set at seventy-five years of age and raised for

younger drivers, not set ‘globally’ at eighteen years of age.

Be very careful to focus on the topic.
