“Why I Want a College Education as a Tamburitzan”

My name is Sonja Janković, I am 24 years old and I am from Belgrade, Serbia. I graduated Faculty of Economics at University of Belgrade and I want to improve in my education.

I heard great things about Tamburitzans from my friends Miloš, Djordje and Marko, who are your members.

I’ve been dancing since I was 7 and that is one of most important things in my life. So, applying for this, I’m hoping to connect my love for dancing with my educational goal. I believe that coming to States will give me possibilities to do that, especially because Duquesne University is very well known for its Master Studies in Economics. After all, USA is the country with great opportunities for everyone and I want to take my chances.
