espect espect Honesty onesty Pride ride Successuccess
Eid Al Adha
To our families who are celebrating Eid, we want to wish you Eid Saeed. Happy Eid! We hope this is a joyous and celebratory time with your families and friends.
We welcome a new staff member, Shelley Dennis who will be joining us this week to replace Angela Toscano in the grade five area. Please make Shelley feel welcome.
Tomorrow (Thursday), we farewell Giovanna Tarsilli our loved Business Manager after 20 years of loyal service to Roxburgh Homestead Primary School. Giovanna is an original member of staff, who established the office processes and procedures that make our office run so efficiently. Giovanna is held in high regard by not only our school community but across our network. Giovanna has been a mentor for new Business Mangers in schools and her advice and expertise is highly sought after. Giovanna will join the staff of Harvest Home PS in Epping North . Her knowledge in what is required in the office when establishing a new school will be invaluable to the new Principal, Anthony Simone. We wish Giovanna all the very best in her new position. You will be missed!
Karen Sparks, who filled in for Giovanna in term four last year and did an admirable job, will backfill the Business Manager's role until it is advertised at the beginning of next year. We thank Karen for her willingness to take on this significant role during an exceptionally busy time of the school year.
Finally, I'd like to thank staff and students for another amazing term where we continue to ensure every student makes one year's growth, no matter their starting point.
Have a well deserved holiday everyone before we embark upon our final term for the year and our final year together.

It’s been another busy and exciting time at Roxburgh Homestead this term. Students have participated
in a variety of engaging excursion and incursions, the swimming program has continued, athletics days
have been a success… the list goes on and on. Our value of Pride has been unpacked throughout the
term and it’s been great to hear and see students demonstrating their understanding of it, not only
with what they are saying, but also in their actions.
The school’s Breakfast Club has been launched successfully this term. Each class has had the
opportunity to sit down with their teachers and friends to enjoy a healthy meal, giving them the
energy to start the day. Feedback from students and teachers has been very positive. I’d like to say a
huge thankyou to Sonia and Stacey who helped run the Breakfast Club this term and make it a success.
Next term Breakfast Club will run on a Tuesday and Thursday morning before school at 8:30am, from
week 2. All students are welcome and if you would like your child to attend please return the note that
will go out early next term. If there are any parents who would like to help out please come and see
Stacey or myself at the office.
Next term we will be focusing on our value of Success and celebrating all the achievements we have
made throughout the year. This will culminate in a Success Celebration late in Term 4, so please keep
your eyes and ears out for more information.
As we move into Term 4 we will begin to plan for our 2017 school year and to do this we need your
help. If any families will be leaving our school please contact the office as soon as possible to let us
know. Also if you know of any families who want to join the Roxburgh Homestead Primary School
community please encourage them to come and visit us at the office early next term. Knowing this
information early in term 4 helps us to plan for a smooth transition in to the next school year.
Finally I hope you all have a happy and safe September break and I look forward to seeing you all in
Term 4.
Kind regards
Pat Lynch

It was pointed out to us after we had printed the brochures that Friday September 30th is a public holiday, therefore the visit to the Epping cinemas will not be going ahead; the whole day is cancelled. Booking. Danielle will be accepting enrolments for all days but unfortunately she will not be accepting any bookings for the excur-sion days after Friday September 9th to allow her to confirm bookings etc., so book early to avoid disappointment. Payment Procedures. Accounts will be emailed to parents on Monday September 26th September; manual payments for the full amount owing will be manually deducted on Thursday September 29th. Please ensure sufficient funds are available in your nominated account for this deduction. If your direct debit is dishonoured, it means that your account will not be paid on time and the $20.00 late fee will also be added to your account.

While we are on leave, Val Price, who ran the program at Roxburgh Park Primary School for 15 years and retired at the end of last year will be working with Danielle in the mornings while Beaulah is away and also filling in if needed until we are at full staff again. Please introduce yourselves and make her feel welcome. I have told her about the wonderful families and children we have at our Program, she is looking forward to meeting you all. Danielle will be stepping up and taking control and our lovely Education Support Staff from the school (Vicki, Lauren, Megan and Grace) have been rostered on for extra days in our absence to support her.
OUR CHAMPION FOR SEPTEMBER. Adyandhi Rajendran Adyandhi is one of our most helpful peer leaders who is around whenever we need her assistance. Thanks Adyandhi, keep smiling.
