How to use QUEDAR
• with adjectives like grande(s) and pequeño/a(s)
• with adverbs like bien and mal• the adjectives will agree, but the adverbs
will not change form• Examples:• Esta falda me queda pequeña. Me queda mal.• This skirt fits me small. It fits me badly.
• Estas botas me quedan grandes. No me quedan bien.• These boots fit me big. They don’t fit me well.

PRETERITE of PAGAR – to pay• Uses regular –AR verb endings in the preterite• Has a spelling change in the “yo” form to maintain
the correct sound

Without the spelling change, the “g” would not have a hard sound in front of the “e” vowel.
PRETERITE of LEVANTARSE – to get up• Conjugates the same way as regular –AR verbs• Don’t forget the reflexive pronoun!
