The Spider Frame is a large timber structure that is fitted with an elasticated rope to form a web effect. The rope can be rearranged in countless ways and additional ropes can be added to make the transition through the web even harder.

The Tower Puzzle is based upon an ancient game. The objective is to move the pyramid of disks to the furthest post without ever putting a larger disk on top of a smaller disk. The disks are lightweight but durable being made from PVC covered foam. The difficulty of this game can be adjusted easily by varying the number of disks used.

The Matchsticks initiative has the potential for countless great lateral thinking puzzles. The giant blocks provide hours of brain-teasing fun that will also help to develop an appreciation for the importance of team work.

The Tangram Table is the perfect platform for the exploration of tangrams. The tangram is a 200 year old Chinese puzzle with over 500 solutions. The objective of the puzzle is to form a specific shape with the seven pieces. The shape has to contain all the pieces, which may not overlap. Great for developing mental visualisation skills.

The Battle Boards are a double sided battle ground where two players or teams can plot coordinates in order to destroy their opponents inventory. This great game will help to develop an understanding of coordinates and strategic decision making.

The Tesselation Board gives pupils a detailed understanding of rotation and symmetry. A positive to negative vector grid is used to plot a series of shapes that can then be mirrored into each quadrant of the grid.

The Colour Puzzle Table is a colour coordination brain-teaser. There are eight colour-tagged corner blocks which must fit into the preset shape in a way that allows all the corners to match in colour. This product develops pupils’ lateral thinking skills and will also give them a real challenge. A popular way to play is to race against the clock in teams of two.

The Kinesthetic Zone has made Maths lessons interactive and fun. Pupils are engaged in complex team tasks and are working cooperatively in groups.

The ESP concept has changed the way our pupils learn outdoors.

It’s great to see such an innovative way of engaging young people in

physical activity.

Giant Dominoes is as much a physical game as it is mentally stimulating and fun, thanks to giant sized pieces. Dominoes traditionally have many uses and variants of the ‘standard’ game like Fives and Threes... Always a popular attraction at break times.

Why not combine our Kinesthetic range with a trim trail to create a Kinesthetic Challenge and introduce both physical and mental stimulation to the playground? If you would like to support the outdoor curriculum for Maths, English and Science and want to start ‘Creating a Positive Whole School Impact’, please contact us on (01282) 43 44 45 and quote ‘Kinesthetic-0409’. We offer a completely FREE survey, design and quotation service.

The Soma Cube is a brilliantly challenging puzzle for all age ranges. The puzzle is large, tactile and hard-wearing, being made from robust PVC coated foam. This puzzle is great for developing spacial awareness appreciation. Sure to be a favourite at break times, this product also helps to develop communication skills.

The Math/Alpha Traverse combines physical challenge with literacy and numeracy. Small white boards are positioned next to the handgrips that allow the wall to have customised objectives. For example, the pupils may have to get from one side to the other by spelling out the school name!

The project has kick-started the pupils whole imagination... From an educational point of view we are already seeing

language development, gross and fine motor skills and those all

important social skills.

The playground is helping to build the children’s confidence and they are learning new skills as well as improving their social skills. The whole process of dealing with ESP from

initial design to installation, and afterwards, has been very easy and pleasant. We would recommend that all schools get an ESP playground!

ESP and Oakbank are leading the way in the country in displaying how

PE, sport and physical activity can have an educational benefit across

the whole school.
