HISTORY
Created and taught by Patrick Hayeck 8 years ago.
First taught at Lloyds International College from 2007
until 2010.
Named as the PRON method at Ability English where
Patrick also created and taught the popular pronunciation
and fluency courses until 2012 as well as trained 8 ESL
teachers in the method.
Taught in Japan to individuals and small groups in
companies until 2015.
Used as the basis of the phonological awareness and
phonics program at Aiwin International School, a school
Patrick co-founded in Osaka in 2014.
Currently, ESLAN offers online and onsite courses in
Sydney.

THE COURSE
Description
You will speak more fluent, faster and more native-like English.
You will no longer think native speakers talk too fast. You will
fix your pronunciation so that you never have to repeat what you
say twice because of your accent.
Goals
Students will improve their fluency, speed and listening skills in
English. They will understand the source of their speaking and
listening problems, and manage to fix their pronunciation errors
on their own.

COURSE RULES & POLICY
CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR
Classroom Language: Only speak English in the classroom.
Lateness: If you’re more than 15 minutes late in the morning
AND 5 mins after breaks, please do not attempt to enter the
classroom as you will be denied entry until after the end of the
session.
Absence: If you’re absent more than 3 times without a valid or
convincing reason, you will not be granted a certificate.
Assistance: Assist your classmates and be assisted by them
Tools: Bring a mirror along to the classroom as you need to
observe the movements of the muscles of the mouth during
practice.
Group work: Always work in a group and never sit in the
classroom without repeating or practising by yourself while
waiting for your turn.
Shyness: Do not be shy and afraid of receiving feedback from
your classmates
TESTS
They take place every Friday between the hours of 6pm and 8pm
(depends on the students’ number and performance).
They must be completely memorized
They are handed over and heavily practised every Monday.
They are required to be recorded on the teacher’s laptop.
They are corrected and graded then handed back to the student
who is expected to review the errors made through listening to the
recording saved as an MP3 file.
Results will be discussed throughout the week.
All 6 tests must be completed in order for a certificate to be
granted.
Failure to complete all tests will lead to the student’s being denied
a certificate.
