Portal Registration and ESI Packaging Access Tutorial

ESI Packaging – Registration ProcessIn order to access the ESI Packaging web site, you must first establish auser ID and Password via the IBM Registration process through theGlobal Procurement Supply Portal. You will not be able to access thisweb site without an ID and PW.

Step 1. Obtaining a User ID and PasswordBefore you can enroll as a user from your company for ESIPackaging, you must first go to the IBM Registration site andobtain a userid and password. Enter the Supply Portal website at:http://www.ibm.com/procurement/esi



The Supply Portal overview page appears. Click “Register” and you’ll betaken to the My IBM Registration page.



Fill in the applicableinformation on this form andhit submit. The ID yourequest should be your emailaddress. You may want tobookmark the Registrationpage in case you want tochange any of your settingsin the future.



1. In the ‘securityquestion’ field, type asecurity question thatonly you can answerand provide theanswer in the ‘Answerto security question’field. Choose aquestion that is simpleto answer and easy toremember as you maybe asked to furnish theanswer occasionally toconfirm your identity.

2. Input your preferredEmail address andselect your country ofresidence.

3. Hit Continue.



Fill in the applicableinformation on this form and(this is only 1 part of thispage).



Fill in the remainingapplicable informationon this form and hitContinue.



You should receive a Registration Confirmation message. Hit Continueand you will be automatically directed back to the Supply Portal overviewpage. If you are not automatically transferred you can access the SupplyPortal page at the following Internet address:http://www.ibm.com/procurement/esi




Step 2. Requesting Access to ESI Packaging

Enter the Supply Portal website at:http://www.ibm.com/procurement/esi



1. The Supply Portal Overview page appears. Click the My Portal: MyFunctions link. 2. Enter your User ID and PW (from the registration process)



Select ‘New User App Enrollment”



Read SupplyPortal Terms andselect “I accept”



Click on “Select One” and choose “ESI Packaging Application–OEM PackagingServices”



1. Complete the appropriate fieldsin the Registration Form.

2. Required fields are marked *3. Under Desired Portal Role select

“Coordinator” or “Regular User”*Coordinator – this user will be

responsible for approving allnew users from that supplier.Supplier Companies musthave at least oneCoordinator registeredbefore additional users canbe added. Coordinatorstypically have Editor access.

*Regular User – Standard User.Standard Users typicallyhave Author or readeraccess

4. Select Language preference5. Click “Continue”



A final ‘New user enrollment page’ appears



Select companytype and choose “Supplier”



1. Enter Location – type in yourlocal city, state, country (i.e.:Raleigh, NC, USA)

2. Select Requested Access levelReader–read only accessAuthor–can create/submit formand edit/delete only their owndocuments or formsEditor–cancreate/submit/edit/delete any formsfrom that supplier. Usuallyreserved for Supplier Coordinators

3. Click Continue”



1. A Final Review page appears andyou need to look it over and ifeverything looks accurate select“Submit”

2. If there is an error hit your browserback button to return to the previouspage(s) to make corrections



1. A final confirmation of your Submission with a request number will bedisplayed. Your ESI Pkg Application access registration is now complete.

2. If this is a “Regular User” submission the request will first go to the SupplierCoordinator for Step 1 approval and then to IBM for final approval (Advance tothe next slide for Supplier Coordinator Approval Process

As a Supplier Coordinator you will receive the following request email:

Follow the instructions in the email and approve the request




Once approved you should receive an email confirmation that includes thefollowing:




Step 3 - Accessing the forms in ESI Packaging

1. Access the Supply Portal URLhttp://www.ibm.com/procurement/esi

2. Once accessed, click My Portal:My Functions. Youwill be prompted for your userid and password.

3. From your personalized My Portal page, access thedatabase by clicking on “ESI Packaging Application–OEM Packaging Services”

4. Once you are in the Database click on the desiredselection from left side list (i.e.: Supplier Info/Spend,Environmental Compliance, etc)
