RESPONSIBILITY

The world is the answer to all your requests, and it is your level of responsibility which determines the distance between your request and the answer. The more

responsible you are, the shorter the distance.

My Experience at ESE Milan

Having some presumed academic degrees and working in a profession of my choice ; I did not have an urgency to explore beyond what I was living with, but certainly had an intrinsic desire to expand my learning and experience novelty in my life .

It was this search for something comprehensive and entirely new, that, I came across European School of Econo-mics, Milan. The courses being offered at the school seemed to be congruent with the demands of the corporate world. The wholesome picture of the school brought me to pursue Certification in Business Management at the Milan Campus. I feel so proud in admitting that I have got much more than I expected from here. New Age Management Subjects that I studied here have certainly helped me in achieving my primary goal of refreshing my knowledge and would surely give an edge to my career.

But that’s not all I received from here !!!

I must mention that each day spent at this campus has played a unique role in refueling my dreams , in realizing my potential and showed me ways to the tremendous opportunities that I can create for myself.

The multicultural environment has exposed me to new dimensions of the world which I know a very few campuses have on offer for their students. I have steadily learnt to understand and appreciate the degrees of differences, the people hold, in terms of their opinions, beliefs and the ways they conduct their lives.

A very important lesson that I will take back home is to delve into myself and the world around, more purposefully and from more than one angle ; as that will append my erudition and prepare me to contribute to the society in an effective way.

I am energized to go back to my life in my homeland with the new guts and gusto; that ESE has instilled in me and my tenure here will be an important catalyst for my life . I would also like to make a special mention of the warm and professional approach of the ESE staff members ,that has been very instrumental in making my stay here pleasant and memorable.

Major Events Management – now at the ESE Milan Campus

The world’s largest events to date are the Olympic Games, World Championships in Football and the World Expos. But Major Event Management is not necessarily related to the size of an event – it is rather related to the importance of an event.Event Management is a million euro industry, in a phase of rapid growth, with world economy stagna-ting at the same time, how can that be? Simple: the world is looking for new possibilities, innovations and good ideas to move on. And these can be found at events, where people meet, communicate, ex-change ideas, find new contacts, network… The industry of event management includes fields such as the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Events), exhibitions, conferences and seminars as well as live music and sporting events. It is considered one of the strategic marketing and communication tools by companies of all sizes. From product launches to press conferences, companies create promotional events to help them communicate with clients and potential clients. They might target their audience by using the news media, hoping to generate media coverage which will reach thousands or millions of people. They can also invite theiraudience to their events and reach them at the actual event. There are endless forms of events, their organisation, purposes and objectives. And their flexibility makes them such an attractive marketing tool.Because it is important that an event reaches is objectives, and serves it purposes, event management is critical and most important. The event manager, the person who plans and executes the events, is pul-ling the strings and coordinating. The success of any event depends upon this person’s capabilities and that of his team (and how he is guiding them). Not only is he putting together a ‘happening on a certain date’ he is also building a brand and executing marketing and communication strategies of his/acompany. An event is always a reflection of how a company’s business is run and therefore of its image and style. Therefore vision is vital to the success of any event, of any size: It is the big picture of how the event will be perceived, before, during and after it takes place. Have expectations of the participants been met, or maybe, hopefully, been exceeded? Most important task for an event manager is to create a reality from a vision. Webster defines an event manager as an “active supporter, and a finance and publicity organizer” with a specification on the fact that a manager is “one who is in charge of business affairs, of the training of a person or a group and has skill in managing.”For the above said we can conclude, that the event manager is certainly someone, who needs extraor-dinary personal and professional skills, to be able to always expect the unexpected and know how to handle it in the right way, to know how to achieve the goals and purposes of an event, no matter which are the obstacles, at the same time also being extremely skilled in handling financial issues to make any event also a profitable one.Major event management at ESE Milan has the goal to show students all the necessary skills, tools and instruments to organize and execute successful events of any shapes and sizes, and to motivate students to bring out their talent for planning and conducting and become a multi-tasking (event) manager of success.

Inner Forgiveness

“The sunset was offering its last rays and Orion was already visible in the fading blue cobalt of the night sky. The temperature was dropping but the Dreamer gave no sign of being aware of this, nor of wanting to go inside. All indications were that a new, important chapter of my apprenticeship was about to start. Al-though the terrace was growing dark I took out my pen and notebook, determined to take down every word He said. I understood the importance of always having pen and paper to hand. They were all I needed to re-member and recover the wholeness that I had lost in an outside world far away from Him. Writing with Him in front of me, taking down his every word, was like tiptoeing into a higher level of being. His voice caught me in the act.“It takes years of working on yourself,” He said, “to achieve this special condition of freedom, of knowledge, of power, called ‘inner forgiveness.’” He emphasized this term with a particular inflection in His voice which instantly struck me as quite different to the warrior-like character and the uncompromising language of the Dreamer. With a glance He verified that I was faithfully writing down His words. He waited for me to finish, and then continued, “Inner forgiveness means delving into the folds of your own existence where it is still torn…it means washing and healing those wounds that are still open and…paying off all unsettled debts…” Then, assuming a theatrically conspiratorial pose and lowering His voice as if about to share a valuable secret, He confided, “Inner forgiveness has the power to transform your past and all its dead weight”.Time after time, I turned over in my mind those incomprehensible words.“Everything is here, now! In this very instant, in the life of every man, the past and the future are interacting simultaneously.”These words filled me with an inexplicable, irrational joy. I found myself facing a limitless vision. The past and the future were not separate worlds, but connected and indivisible, a single reality. ‘Inner forgiveness’ was a time machine… which gave you the ability to access events of your life that in your ordinary way of thinking were forever gone, and future ones that were yet to come…“I understand how the past might affect our lives, but the future…?” I asked.“The future, like the past, lies right before your eyes, but you cannot see it yet.”He spoke of ‘vertical time’ and of a ‘time-body’ where the past and the future were compressed in this very moment. He told me that the portal to gain access to this ‘timeless’ time, was this instant. The secret is never to be distracted, never to venture far from it.Accessing the ‘time-body’ meant being able to change the past and create a brand new destiny.I was thrilled. I wanted this adventure to start immediately…I wanted it desperately…but my eagerness had not even started to take shape when I felt it quashed by the Dreamer’s harsh words. “For people like you it is impossible to achieve inner forgiveness!” He announced. His tone was that of a judge passing a sentence for which there was no appeal. “To enter into your past and heal it you need a long preparation.”“Without the ideas and the principles of a School, this achievement is impossible; you wouldn’t even know where to begin. In a tone of finality, He said “Inner forgiveness is a return journey to oneself, the real reason we were born. Men should never interrupt this healing process.”The Dreamer warned me that this would require an extensive effort on my part and, first and foremost, a lengthy process of self-observation.” ... from The School for Gods
