It has as its main objective the training for the practice of Technical Industrial Engineering in the Speciality of Electricity. It presents a double generalist/specialist nature. On the one hand, it must train the students in the wide range of activities currently performed by the Technical Industrial Engineers. On the other hand, the training of a trained professional in the foundations and the technology of generation and distribution of electric power, control and protection of electrical systems, in electrical machines, in the facilities of high, medium and low voltage, the regulation and control of electrical devices, electronics for its control and renewable energies.
The development of the study program has the guarantee of the most contrasted experience that the Higher Polytechnic School has on the training of engineers as well as in the application of active methodologies that combine theoretical and practical training.
The Degree in Electrical Engineering enables a high level of insertion in the labour market of the graduates in the activities currently held by a Industrial Technical Engineer, leading to a high level of specialization in electricity in which it owns unlimited competencies in his speciality.
As Industrial Technical Engineers, they have regulated professional attributions (Law 12/1986) that enables them to drafting and signing of projects, project management, running all kinds of industries, etc. This profession is one of the most demanded.
Business sector: they can carry out their professional activity practically in all sectors of the industry especially in those related directly with the Electrical Engineering, developing works from departments such as: analysis of projects and R + D + i, manufacturing and engineering process and of maintenance and tooling. Free exercise of the profession of Industrial Technical Engineer as a freelancer. Work in public administration, research, development and innovation. Teaching.
The completion of this degree provides preferential access to following Master’s Degrees: Integrated Security in Industry and Prevention of Labour Risks; Intelligent Systems for Energy and Transport (USE-UMA); Industrial Engineering (medium priority); Teaching in Secondary Schools, Vocational Training and Language Centers (Technology and Industrial Processes / Physics and Chemistry / Mathematics / Drawing, Photography and Visual Arts); Tourism Management and Planning.
