• In 1960, Escorts set up the strategic AgriMachinery Group (AMG) to venture into tractors.In 1965, we rolled out our first batch of tractorsunder the brand name of Escort.

• 1969- a separate company, Escorts Tractors Ltd.,was established with equity participation of FordMotor Co., Basildon, UK for the manufacture of Ford agricultural tractors in India.

• 1996- Escorts Tractors Ltd. formally merged withthe parent company, Escorts Ltd. Since inception,we have manufactured over 1 million tractors.



Infrastructure

• The manufacturing plant of ESCORTS is located at Faridabadin Haryana having a built up area of 13500 sq ft.

• Have most modern manufacturing set up with importedautomatic coiling and insulation filling machines, Roll

reducing mills, Continuous annealing furnaces, Bendingmachines & sand blasting machine. For fixing of heatingelements to flange, brazing apparatus, Electric welding setsand Argon welding set are available.

• A full-fledged laboratory with precision test equipments is

available in house to carry out quality control tests as perBIS Standards and vast experienced task force to ensureadherence to all manufacturing and testing procedures.



Manufacturing Capabilities

• Have most modern manufacturing set up for manufactureof heating elements from 6mm to 16 mm diameter. Themanufacturing set up has:Automatic coiling machines.

Automatic Insulation filling machines (24 spindle Fill length6 meter)

• Roll reducing mill/Swaging machine

• Annealing furnaces

• Bending machines

• Full-fledged laboratory to carry out quality control test asper Indian standards

• Vast experienced task force to ensure adherence of allmanufacturing and testing procedures.



Revenue

• In a complete turn around, the

company reported a net profit of Rs 23.4 crore

this quarter against a loss of Rs 34 lakh in the

year-ago period.

• Net sales for the quarter stood at Rs 600.22

crore as against Rs 495.26 crore in

corresponding period in 2008-09.
