What is Holding Out HELP?• To assist those from a polygamous background

with the resources necessary to meet their physical, emotional, and educational needs.

• Help those transitioning from a polygamist community into an independent and self-sufficient life.

• Provide access to housing, food, clothing, counseling, mentoring, job training, education and referral services.

There are 30,000 Polygamist in Utah.

%90 of those served by Holding Out HELP have experienced physical, sexual, and religious abuse.

• 100% supported by private individuals and small businesses.

• Two annual fundraisers.  

• Currently serve over 250 people a year.

Things I have learned:

Equality- We still have a long way to go.

Just because someone looks a certain way doesn’t mean they choose to.

I have a lot to be thankful for.Pizza is a privilege.The small things make the greatest

difference.

Ways to help

$30 a month can provide food for a mentor to meet weekly, set goals, learn life skills and have a listening ear.

$50 a month can keep a phone on for a month while a client searches for employment.
