Advertising: City Lights is going to advertise in the up-scale magazines Findlay Connections and Findlay Voice in their third quarter issues. These magazines are dis-tributed to past and present Cadillac owners as well as Honda customers. We are reaching out to a broader-base in order to reach a new audience.

Show Director, Ed Klein reported that the Mothers’ Day Show in the Henderson Convention Center had good traffic but mediocre sales. It was discussed in more depth at the marketing committee meeting in an effort to find solutions to this problem. Kudos to Sandy Frael-ich for her invaluable help with set up before the show, working during the show, and clean up after it.

Anne Carter announced that we have gained three new members since April for a total membership of 99.

At Arts & Eats—we raffled three pieces of art donated by Anne Carter, Steve Kilgour and Chris Mazglad.

Raffle winners were excited to take home their prizes. The raffle raised funds for our Scholarship program.

Chris Mazglad proposed that we give three $1,000 scholarships this year and use all the mini grant funds allotted.

Chris Mazglad reported that the city is very interested in developing art classes for at-risk kids to be held in the fall. Karla Rehm, Jan Schaeffer and Derna Wylde have expressed an interest in teaching.

Drawing classes for 4th & 5th graders will be Fridays, June 12, 19, 26 and July 3 by Lois Payne. Please contact Susan LaBuda for more information: 702-561-7551.

Top Women Artists: Chris Mazglad reported that the City of Henderson will support a juried show featuring Top Women Artists in NV, but we need to postpone it until February 2016. A committee is working on this ex-citing event. Stay tuned for more information.

Free summer art workshops for kids, similar to last year, will be in 2016 at the convention center.

Our hard working gallery guru, Ed Klein, who fills in for all jobs not done by other people, is getting a well-deserved hug from two lovely ladies attending the Arts & Eats event— right to left, Faye Tracy and her daugh-ter Jan.

The Gallery Gift Shop will be enlarged to allow for 3-dimensional art pieces. Cards will be put in racks. If anyone wants to help us plan and execute the conver-sion, please let us know ASAP.
