About the report

• Numbers are generated from the DCRS reporting however some reports may also include additional comparison data

• Inception based numbers includes data from those no longer collecting data under DCRS

When generating a report, date filters may become confusing especially in assessment reports. Each date refers to relevant section and we should bare in mind that if we filter by certain date then there must be records in that section. For example if the report is filtered by PHP date then the result will only contain assessment where a PHP is set.

Since Inception - Clients

• 68% of clients are in the 40% top deprived groups (Q1,Q2) based on overall average deprivation; based on any of the 7 key domains, 45% of clients have at least one or more deprivation indicator matching.

• Individual domain values per client are not available in reports however can be found in client extracts.

• Gender, age and ethnicity statistics provides a breakdown for client details however due to multi-select nature ‘additional personal info’ should not be used for cross comparisons.

Since Inception - Assessment

• 64% of clients come to service to have a PHP and 86% of this number had their first assessment completed ready to set a PHP.

• GP referrals have the highest number in total however they also represent the lowest turn-up.

• Probation clients are still low in sample size and unfortunately represent a low success rate.

Since Inception - Assessment

• 1/3 of clients part or fully completed plans and another 1/3 had information only assessments.

• DNA/Not contactable sign-offs represent over 20% of all sign-offs

We have reviewed the appointment cancellations of the orgs sending the most SMS reminder messages (1000+ messages); although combined numbers of DNA & cancellation’s remained similar, number of people giving notice to cancel their appointment was doubled (8% -> 16%).

Since Inception – Health

When sample sizes are small, data entry errors become more noticeable. High sample sizes absorb any errors and therefore generate a more reliable result.

Maintaining Change

• It is certainly reassuring to see a great majority of clients who have achieved their plans are also maintaining them over time.

To see if a client had a maintenance check done, we must generate an assessment report and filter it to show those with a partial or full achieved result and then look at the ones without any maintenance check carried out.

Staff Productivity

• We can see a clear increase on PHPs per HT whilst keeping the achievement rate. This demonstrates a considerable growth in value for money.

Page 15: Ertan Fidan DCRS Technical Lead. About the report Running since 2008 and will continue to run Previous copies are available to download from DCRS website

Staff Productivity – Champion HT

• More numbers signposted and provided information per HT and less referred to accredited HT. Another example of improved value of the service.

Throughput - Calculation

• Firstly we need to know number of hours spent by both Qualified/Trainee/Champion HTs within a financial year. We rely on assessments recorded by a HT (to make sure they have worked for that period just in case the details in the system not updated) and use specified working hours.

Page 17: Ertan Fidan DCRS Technical Lead. About the report Running since 2008 and will continue to run Previous copies are available to download from DCRS website

Throughput - Calculation

• We then need to know the outcomes per HT; we should bare in mind limitations such as a Champion cannot do a full PHP so they should be removed from calculation if we are looking into number of set/completed/achieved PHPs.

Throughput - Calculation

• Finally we need calculate per HT numbers for the following:– Signposts– PHPs– Achieved/Part achieved PHPs– Information Only– Referrals to accredited HTs
