The only place you can use contractions is in the letter and in poetry. However, in the paragraphs explaining your poetry and the letter, you cannot use contractions. For your essay—no contractions; for the paragraphs explaining songs—no paragraphs.

only have to use the double set of “quotations”.

When you are using lyrics from songs, you need to use a / (slash mark) to show where each line of the song ends.
