    women entrepreneurs to accelerate the growth

    of their businesses and realize the potential they

    envision for their companies.

    The fourth annual Ernst & Young Entrepreneurial

    Winning Women program is a national competition

    and executive leadership program to identify andconnect a select group of women entrepreneurs

    with the advisors, resources and insights they need

    to become market leaders.

    In becoming part of the Entrepreneurial Winning Women program,

    our winners join an elite network of the countrys best high-growth

    companies and participate in a customized program designed to:

    Expand their knowledge with the latest information, research and

    executive dialogues about business strategies and practices tailored

    to high-growth companies

    Identify potential partners, strategic alliances, customers andsuppliers as well as prospective sources of private capital among

    selected venture capital and private equity rms

    Access informal, one-to-one guidance and support

    Strengthen their executive leadership and business skills and

    identify opportunities to grow and scale their companies through

    meetings with senior advisors and seasoned entrepreneurs who

    can serve as role models, coaches and mentors

    Increase national and regional visibility for themselves and their

    companies among corporate executives, investors and the media

    Join the countrys most prestigious gatheringof high-growth, market-leading companies

    Entrepreneurial Winning Women will also receive an all-expense paid

    trip to the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum 2011, named

    by Forbes.com as one of its seven get-ahead executive retreats.

    By invitation only and held November 913 in Palm Springs,

    California, the Forum convenes more than 1,700 leaders of the

    nations most successful high-growth companies, their investors and

    advisors to share growth strategies and discuss current marketplace

    opportunities and challenges.

    The Forum presents a one-of-a-kind platform for Entrepreneurial

    Winning Women to introduce their companies, share their corporate

    and personal brands, and position their companies with established

    entrepreneurs, top executives, business advisors and prospective

    investors who can guide their decision-making and contribute to the

    success. All 2011 Entrepreneurial Winning Women will be introduce

    and honored at a special celebratory event during the Forum.

    The Strategic Growth Forum concludes with the 25th anniversay of

    the US Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards, where

    approximately 250 regional award winners selected from among

    1,500 nominees will compete for national recognition Saturday nigh

    during the gala awards ceremony hosted by Jay Leno.

    Eligibility

    To take advantage of this extraordinary opportunity, Ernst & Young invites applications

    from and nominations of women business owners who are the founding CEOs (at least

    a 51% owner) of any privately held company in the US. The company must be less

    than 10 years old and have reported at least $1 million in sales during each of the

    past two scal years. Typical applicant company revenue ranges from $1 million up

    to approximately $20 million annually. For those women who have sought outside

    investment, the founding woman entrepreneur may still apply if she retains a majority

    ownership stake of what is left after deducting all outside investments.

    If selected, winners must attend an intensive two-day orientation and coaching session to

    ensure they are fully prepared to participate in and take full advantage of the November

    2011 Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum. The orientation will be held October 45at Ernst & Young LLPs headquarters in New York City. Attendance at orientation and

    Strategic Growth Forum is mandatory. Those unable to attend may be better served not

    applying.

    Criteria and selection

    Applicants will be interviewed in July. The 2011 Ernst & Young Entrepreneurial Winning

    Women panel of independent judges representing successful entrepreneurs, investors

    and business leaders will then name 10 Entrepreneurial Winning Women by

    September 9, 2011.

    Applicants will be expected to demonstrate qualities needed to take the fullest advantage

    of this opportunity, including successes to date that exhibit the creativity, tenacity andplanning necessary to realize their companies full potential and the condence and

    conviction to drive toward market leadership. In addition, Entrepreneurial Winning

    Women should have the maturity and level of business sophistication needed to interact

    effectively with potential investors, high-level business advisors and top executives.
