When the connection is established, the application minimizes itself to system tray and pops-up a notification as seen on the right. What This Is

Dialer Options

Application Setup Basics 

The following may be done in either sequence:

Download the latest version of the installer from: \\10.36.1.151\Installer\Dialer1.04a.msi.

Java Runtime Environment v1.4.2 (or higher) isrequired to run the Ericsson Bootstrap node-b

manager within your browser. Get the silent Javainstaller from: \\10.36.1.151\Installer\java.exe 

Adapter and Node List Requirement 

When you first launch the dialer, you must select anetwork adapter, which will become the default.

1. On the Dialer window, click on Configuration.Select Network Adapter option, and select from thelist of available network interfaces.

Make sure to select the adapter that is bound withyour “Local Area Connection” network connection.

This will become the default.

2. The correct Node List must be within the dialer:Import an entire list by clicking Add/Import.

In the Add or import... dialog, click Import list,navigate to the list to import (Files of type: CSV),and select it.

(The imported list must be a CSV (Commadelimited) format.)

Making your own Node List 

1. Open Excel.

2. Fill column A with Element Names and column B with the corresponding IP addresses.

NOTE: Do not use any headers, blank fields or cellborder; formatting must be compatible with thedialer.

3. Save the file (File >> Save As) in type: CSV(Comma delimited). Then import it using Import list.

Node List Maintenance 

You can add nodes one by one or edit the list, later,within the dialer.

1. To enter one at a time, enter Element name and

corresponding IP address, then click Add. 

2. To modify the existing list, select the node you wishto modify and click Modify.

In the Modify... dialog, edit the Element name and IPaddress fields as needed, and click Modify.

3. To remove, select the node and click Remove.
