Hard materials like concrete, asphalt and compacted soil are dangerous, if a child's head should strike the surface it might give serious damages ,such as brain damage, serious disability or even death as a result. Gravel, sand, mulch and wood chips ensures a better protection but causes problems as the need for constant maintenance, sani-tary risks and an increased danger for eye injuries and acciden-tal ingestion is a fact. Furthermore, the use of gravel and sand will result in an increased wear and tear on playground equip-ment, furniture and floorings etc. ErgoPlay Safety Tiles are the perfect alternative to these tradi-tional safety surface materials. ErgoPlay Safety Tiles are de-signed to perform an optimise impact absorption and slip resis-tance to contribute to a safer playing environment. ErgoPlay Safety Tiles are easy to install and an inexpensive solution requiring only a minimum of maintenance after instal-lation. ErgoPlay Rubber Safety Tiles can be installed on sub-surfaces like concrete , asphalt, gravel and sand. ErgoPlay can be delivered in two different qualities and with a full selection of ramp and corner tiles as stated overleaf. ErgoPlay can be delivered in two different qualities, each with each their own aesthetic and wear resistance properties. ErgoPlay offers the possibility of designing colourful and unique patterns and effects for achievement of the perfect solution for any playground.

Basic quality, C1 Manufactured of 100% recycled rubber bonded with a coloured polyurethane binder. Standard colours: black, red, green and blue. Delivery in special colours can be done according to agreement.

EPDM-quality, C3 Custom-made with a surface made from virgin EPDM-granules in top of a sub-layer made from recycled rubber according to agreement.

By the choice of playground surfacing there are many fac-tors, that ought to be taken into consideration. Unfortu-nately, playground surfacing is often chosen on the basis of short-term economical considerations and tradition - with-out keeping the long-term maintenance costs and other drawbacks by the chosen solution in view. The establishment of rubber tiles as safety surface is more expensive than gravel / sand, wood chips and mulch etc. However it will be the cheapest solution seen over a peren-nial period. In addition several drawbacks can be avoided as stated in the below shown comparison table.

Other Safety surfaces

Safety Mats Safety mats for installation on sub-bases as grass, sand, soil etc. is the most inexpensive solution for the establishment of a safety surface. The Safety Mats can normally be installed with a minimum of preparation of the sub-base. In addition to their function as safety surface, the safety mats protect the grass roots against wear and tear and acts simultaneously as a “reinforcement” of the sub-base. Size 1500x1000x22 mm. Tested up to 3,5 m fall height on a natural grass sub-base. How-ever, we only recommend the Safety Mats to be used up to 2,0 m fall height on natural grass. EVA-Safety Flooring • Size: Gross 1060x1060x22 mm / net 1000x1000x22 mm. • Made of foamed Ethylene-vinyl-acetate. • Soft, impact absorbing, comfortable and warm/isolating. • Ideal for use in indoor play areas. • Easy installation without the use of special tools. The tiles are joined

by the puzzle connectors and installed loose without gluing to the sub-floor.

PolyPlay Rubber Surfaces - Safety Surfaces Our most exclusive solution….

PolyPlay rubber surfaces are made from a mix of rubber granules and polyurethane that are poured seamless onsite. Different patterns, figures and colours can be integrated into the surface.

With PolyPlay, a hygienic and maintenance free rubber safety surface is achieved.

PolyPlay Safety Surfaces are normally done as sandwich system with a thick base-layer made from black recycled rubber granules finished with a surface made from coloured EPDM-granules.

ErgoSoft Rubber Surfaces - Safety Surfaces ErgoSoft Rubber Surfaces are made from a mix of dyed recycled rubber mulch and polyurethane that can be poured seamless on site - directly in top of almost any sub-base with a minimum of preparation of the sub-base.

ErgoSoft has a nature look and is therefore especially suited for the use on natural playgrounds and in parks and gardens.

ErgoSoft has been tested as safety surfaces to EN 1177.

When installing ErgoSoft, the use of time for digging and removal of soil is minimized. ErgoSoft surface will remain firm and stable on the sub-base.. See our brochure for ErgoSoft for further information..

ErgoFloor Safety Mats for Grass - Grass Mats Our Safety Mats for installation on sub-bases of grass, sand and soil etc. is the absolute cheapest solution for the establishment of a playground safety surface. In addition to their function as safety surface, the Safety Mats protects the grass roots against wear and acts as a "reinforcement" of the sub-base. The Safety Mats can normally be installed without any preparation of the sub-base besides leveling of the worst bumps. Also ideal for use in top of playground drop sand to minimize maintenance and problems with cat stools and urine.

Characteristics: • Size: 1500x1000x22 mm. • Tested as safety surface to a fall height of 3,5 m on a natural grass sub-base. We reccomend however that

our Safety Mats not are used by fall heights beyond 2,0 m • Tested as safety surface to a fall height of 1,0 m on a concrete sub-base. • Easy installation: The Safety mats are joined with plastic strips and fixed to the sub-base by plastic pegs. • Creates a comfortable and clean surface regardless the weather conditions. • No maintenance besides mowing the lawn when needed.

Product specification ErgoFloor PU Rubber Tiles are made of granulated recycled rubber from worn-out car tyres. The rubber granules are bonded together with a polyurethane binder.

The general product programme includes three different qualities: The C1-quality is provided with a 3-5 mm thick surface layer made of fine-grained rubber granules. The surface layer can be made in a selection of decorative colours by the use of a coloured binder. The surface has moderate weather-prooffness and abrasion resistance properties.

The C3 EPDM quality is provided with a 4-5 mm thick surface layer made of virgin EPDM rubber granules. The surface can be made in a selection of decorative colours and also in a mix of these. The surface has excellent weather-prooffness and abrasion resistance properties

The C1 quality can be delivered as through-dyed in the special quality SOLID.

The three product qualities can be delivered as rubber tiles and rubber pavers in different shapes and sizes.
