Erasmus+ European Voluntary Service This is a network project between the local organizations (in Sesimbra – Portugal) and international partners that will develop an innovative socially integrating meth- odology for the disadvantaged groups with intergenerational activities; Promote health and well- being of people through activities that make contact and interaction with nature and the environment; Helping people to feel useful and active in the socio-cultural environment in which they live and encourage socialization of them with other users and gardeners of Solidary Vegetable Gardens at Quinta do Conde (in Sesimbra); Create and test working models of collaborative network among institutions supporting the most disadvantaged groups and / or in need of social integration; Provide group activities for the elderly, children and youth, promoting communication and intergenerational and inter-institutional interaction. The project has two different actions in which the volunteer will be involved: This action aims to develop the practice of horticulture as economic complement activity and subsistence, enhancing the quality of people’s life, not only by creating dynamic green spaces, as well as the promotion of contact with nature, resulting in environmental qualification, the increase in biodiversity and the reduction of organic waste. And also it improves food sources and livelihood of families; Stimulate subsistence agriculture for families and the community; Enhance the community spirit in the use and maintenance of public space; Encourage the use of traditional farming practices; Project a permanent environmental education program; Produces a cultural and artistic event program integrating minority groups such as the gypsy community and eastern countries. It’s a set of regular active aging actions, intended for users of the Quinta do Conde Community day Center (CCQC) with more than 60 years. Knowing that physical exercise has a positive influence on aging WeMove will contribute to the prevention of disease and increased functional capacity, independence and quality of life of senior/elderly and decrease isolation. And HISE – Horticultura Integradora Social e Educativa (Social Integrating and Educational Horticulture) is a methodology that allows the integration of young people with special educational needs, reduced mobility or other psychological difficulties and the elderly living alone, with the direct involvement of volunteers. • Experience or interest in gardening and farming in general;• Experience or interest in work with kids, young and seniors;• Some resilience and physical strength for outdoors work in the fields;• Knowledge and interest in manual and artistic activities;• Experience or interest in activities outdoors;• Environmental awareness;• Like to work in a multidisciplinary team and to share their time with other volunteers.

• The volunteers will share the Anime’s Guest House, a detached villa with 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms;• Common living room with TV/DVD, shared access to a computer and wireless internet;• A fully equipped kitchen, an outdoor space for barbecue, garden, a vegetable garden for own cultivation, an atelier to workshop works and also 4 bikes;• Regarding meals, Anime established a protocol with a local canteen where volun-teers will have access to lunch daily. At breakfast and dinner, volunteers can choose between having the food acquired by Hosting Coordinator or receive the amount of money to spend on food of their choice;• Each volunteer has right to two days off per week, normally the weekend; 2 days of holiday per each month of service; pocket money will be delivered at the begin-ning of each month as well as the transport costs;• The volunteer will have Portuguese classes;• The volunteer will have a mentor helping her/him to develop the learning, social skills and improve the process of integration.
