Materials

• Different colored paint• Large piece of butcher paper• Markers• A towel• Feet

Pre-Activity/Brainstorm

• Have the students go home and ask their family about their background such as race, ethnicity, culture and heritage.

• Then allow the students to go on computer and research their race or ethnicity.

Procedure

• Lay down a large piece of butcher paper• Have each student dip one foot in the color they feel is

the closest to their skin color.• Each student will put there foot print on the large piece

of paper and write there name below it.• They will need to wipe their feet with a towel

afterwords• After the paint dries, they will then write with a dark

marker over their foot, something unique about them and their culture or heritage.
