What it consists of

The metal crash barrier manufactured by Grupo Condesa is a semi-rigid type and its use has a direct effect on increasing safety on roads, dual carriageways and motorways.

This company aims to provide an overall solution for the supply and installation of metal crash barriers.

The main features of this product are as follows:

• Reduction in serious accidents:

The aim is to reduce serious accidents caused by uncontrolled exiting of the motorway. Controlled absorption of impact energy due to the deformation of the system.

- Guaranteed containment (of impact against obstacles, falling down slopes or cross-median crashes).

- Smooth deceleration (prevents violent shaking of occupants).- Optimum re-steering (steering vehicles back onto the road and preventing

these from rebounding and returning to the road in an uncontrolled manner).

• Minimum cost:

Less than 1% of the total of the corresponding infrastructure.2 to 3 times more economical than any other alternative system.

• Maximum profi tability:

Profi t/cost ratio between 700% and 1400% (Federal Highway Administration). Depreciation period <8 months (taking into consideration the cost of the system and the saving of social costs due to accidents). Long durability (galvanised steel, process-product quality controls).

Technical characteristics

• Barrier :- Steel quality: S 235 JR, according to EN 10025 standard and with chemical

suitability for galvanizing.- Nominal thickness: 3 mm.- Average thickness of coating: 70 μm. on both sides.- Average coating mass: 505 gr/m2.

• Posts:- Steel quality: S 235 JR, according to EN 10025 standard and with chemical

suitability for galvanizing.- Nominal standard thickness type C: 4 mm.- Nominal standard thickness tubular : 3 mm.- Average thickness of coating: 70 μm. - Average coating mass: 505 gr/m2.

• Separator:- Steel quality: S 235 JR, according to EN 10025 standard and with chemical

suitability for galvanizing.- Nominal thickness: 3 mm.- Average thickness of coating: 70 μm on both sides. - Average value of coating mass: 505 gr/m2.
