The Carolina Inn, opened in 1901 and dubbed the “Queen of the South” and the “White House of Golf,” has 230 newly renovated guest rooms and lobby. In Remembrance The sympathy of the NCVMA is extended to the family of NCVMA Life Member Dr. William C. Marlatt, 80, who passed away 1/8/2015.
A veterinarian in Garner for 46 years, Dr. Marlatt received his undergraduate degree from Penn State University and his DVM from the University of Pennsylvania College of Veterinary Medicine. He also served in the US Army.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Marlatt; daughter Kim Marcom (Joe); sons William C. Marlatt, II (Beth Ann); Jeff C. Marlatt (Michelle); four grandchildren and many nieces, great–nieces, nephews, great‐nephews and his Golden Retriever, Josee.
