1. OCDRC XI (DAVAO REGION)
I. Situation Overview
• Due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone, Davao Region is experiencing intermittent rains for the past few days which resulted to flooding in some municipalities of the provinces of Compostela Valley, Davao del Norte and Davao Oriental
• Flood waters affected the municipalities of Kapalong and Asuncion is now affecting the downstream communities particularly Barangay Talomo of the Municipality of Sto. Tomas and Barangay Cuambogan of Tagum City. Evacuation of affected families in on-going, while flood waters of other affected areas mentioned in our report have already subsided. Weather condition in our AOR is now improving.
• Municipality of Asuncion, the Barangay residents especially the old and were infected by diseases such as common colds, coughs and fever. The Municipal health Office conducted consultation and medical treatment in Barangays where widespread diseases are prevalent.

Actions Taken
• Hon. Gov. Arturo Uy, PDRRMC Chairman of Compostela Valley Province issued Memorandum on the Suspension of Classes to all levels and stoppage of mining activities of the whole province on November 20, 2012.
• PDRRMC Com Val provided three (3) dumptrucks, three (3) rubber boats, and one (1) ambulance to Municipality of Compostela.
• Hon. Jessie S. Bolo, thru MDRRMC Compostela, issued Executive Order re : Suspension of Classes to all levels and mining activities of the whole municipality, yesterday, November 20, 2012.
• MDRRMCs Compostela and Montevista together with PDRRMC Compostela Valley activated Incident Command System in their respective areas.
• MDRRMC Composotela conducted evacuation operations of the affected families. • MDRRMCs Compostela and Montevista, together with the PDRRMC ComVal are closely
monitoring respective AORs. • PDRRMC ComVal, MDRRMC Compostela and MSWDO Compostela provided assorted
food relief assistance to the evacuees. • MDRRMC Nabunturan, thru MERT Response Team, conducted pre-emptive evacuation of
families likely to be affected.
• PDRMC ComVal and MDRRMC Montevista thru MSWDO Montevista provided assorted food relief assistance to affected families .
• MDRRMC Asuncion and PDRRMC Davao del Norte conducted pre-emptive evacuation, yesterday and and closely monitored the situation.
• MDRRMC Kapalong together with PDRRMC Davao del Norte thru RDR Rescue Team conducted evacuation of the affected families.
• RDR Rescue Team of Davao del Norte responded to the affected in the province. • Responders from DOSMART-GOV.GEN., PDRRMC Davao Oriental, PNP, BFP, RECON
and MDRRMC Gov. Generoso responded to the affected barangays. • PDRRMC Davao Oriental and MDRRMC San Isidro conducted evacuation of the affected
families and SAR operations of the victims. • RDRRMC XI/OCD is now on red alert status.
RDRRMC-Member agencies were already alerted for possible support.
