LHK Youth Theatre present the smash hit musical ‘FAME’ at The Epstein Theatre.

Showcasing the region’s hottest new talent treading the boards in one of the world’s most loved musical offerings based on the 1980 hit musical film Fame which starred Irene Cara and featured the famous title song.

The film told the story of students at New York City’s High School of Performing Arts and was followed by a six-season television series and the musical. The Blues Band was formed in 1979, by ex Manfred Mann group members, Paul Jones and Tom McGuinness, originally to play

a few pub gigs on Paul Jones’ nights off from his then full time career as an actor in London’s West end. The blues had always

been their first love, indeed Manfred Mann for a short time backed Sonny Boy Williamson. Tom’s first band – The Roosters-

also included a young Eric Clapton.

They still love playing together and partly keep the whole thing fresh by dispensing with a set list about ten years ago which

keeps you on your toes !

Widely acclaimed Pink Floyd tribute band Darkside brings with it a spectacular show comprising of the sounds, lights,

laser show and projected images of the legendary Pink Floyd. The performance, part of Darkside’s eleventh UK tour will

showcase the hugely successful Pink Floyd album Dark Side of the Moon.

The show promises a nostalgic trip down memory lane from the massive back-catalogue of one of Britain’s most enigmatic

bands that changed the face of progressive rock music globally. Darkside has dedicated one half of the show to the

whole of the Dark Side of the Moon album showcasing classic scores such as the moody and melancholy Great Gig in the

Sky and Money.

Darkside’s vocalist Faye Brookes takes on the role of Clare Torry who performed Great Gig In The Sky on the original 1973 Pink Floyd album. This undoubtable unique enigmatic vocal with its extra-terrestrial soundscape has been leaving

audiences enthralled.

Aloha! Following the success of LouiseLIVE in 2015 Louise Pentland aka Sprinkle of Glitter is back with a shiny and glittery new show for 2016.

Louise’s year has been filled with exciting adventures and she can’t wait to tell you all about them. There will be stories about dating, tales of life as an Internet sensation, mother and friend, as well as body and life confidence tips and fashion triumphs and fails.

RESTORATION LEVY As the Epstein Theatre we pride ourselves on our prestigious venue and constantly aim to enhance audience experience. We aim to deliver a high level of service and want to restore and improve Liverpool’s hidden gem of a theatre.

As a non-funded organisation a restoration levy is now in place to enable us to carry out the continuous work needed on our 102 year old space. The charge of 50p per ticket, has been implemented to protect the theatre’s future.

Orginally opened as Cranes Music Hall in 1913, later renamed Cranes Theatre before becoming the popular Neptune Theatre in 1967, open until 2005. After undergoing a £1million refurbishment in 2011 The Epstein Theatre, in honour of former Beatles Manager Brian Epstein, the theatre is now one of Liverpool’s favourite venue, right in the heart of the City Centre.

2013 saw the theatre celebrate its centenary birthday, as we look forward to the next 100 years we want to maintain the exceptional features you have come to love from the theatre in the sky!

ACCESSIBILITY

For wheelchair access, customers have access to Hanover House lift situated on School Lane which will give access to the theatre, Bar & Foyer. Ramps are also in place for access to theatre seats. Guide Dogs for the visually impaired are permitted and the theatre also has an infer-red T loop system for hearing impaired. Carer’s are welcome free of charge.
