EPPIC’s Guy W. WallaceGuy has worked as an external consultant – mostly in the lead role but sometimes following the lead of his business partners, senior staff consultants and sometimes other client suppliers – on over 250 projects for over 60 clients including over 40 Fortune 500 firms. He has been doing this all but 3 years since 1982 – at 3 consulting firms where he was a partner/consultant.

His work has won numerous awards and recognition –and his clients staff have won awards for the work they’ve done after he trained and developed them, including in project planning and management, instructional and performance improvement analysis, design of ISD in the CAD and MCD levels of design of the PACT Processes for performance‐based Training, Learning and Knowledge Management.

Guy’s specialty, since his first back in 1982 and with Exxon Exploration USA for their Geologists and Geophysicists, is Curriculum Architecture Design – CAD ‐ which is used for the development of performance‐based Training Paths (Learning Paths, Development Roadmaps, etc.) that reconcile the performance requirement needs with the existing content to identify gaps and overlaps of content – to create a holistic approach to both On‐Boarding and On‐Going Development – for Performance Requirements Competence.

Guy has conducted 74 such CAD efforts since that first in 1982. He and his staffs and his clients’ staff, that he developed and certified, have also produced hundreds and hundreds of additional CAD efforts and received recognition and awards for their work.

He has been teaching others on his staff and on his corporate clients’ staffs these ISD –Instructional Systems Design’s analysis and design methods for CAD – and at the course development level – since 1983. He started EPPIC after 20 years as a partner in 2 other consulting firms: at Svenson & Wallace Inc. 1982‐1997 – and at CADDI Inc. 1997‐2002.

Modular Curriculum Development

lean‐ISD takes all of the theory, books, courses and pseudo job‐aids that are currently on the market about Instructional Systems Design and blows them out of the water.Previous “systems” approach books showed a lot of big boxes and diagrams which were to supposedly help the reader become proficient in the design process.

However, the most critical part of the book for me was that Guy included the project and people management elements of ISD in the book. Too often ISD models and materials forget that we are working with real people in getting the work done.

This book helps explain and illustrate best practices in ensuring success in ISD projects.

Guy W. Wallace has been training and certifying ISD staff for his own consulting firms at Svenson & Wallace Inc. and at CADDI Inc., and for many his clients since the early 1980s.

Those clients have included the ISD staff at Amoco, AT&T Network Systems, Bandag, Eli Lilly, General Motors, General Physics, Hewlett‐Packard, MCC Powers/Siemens Building Technologies, Raytheon and several other firms that were sub‐contractors to his clients, plus he has developed the ISD staff at Wachovia and Wells Fargo.
