Doo-Bop Jazz Bar brings great jazz and fine dining to the streets of

Brisbane, with a Brasserie and Piano Bar that on any day of the week

resemble a happening New York jazz bar.

With jazz art deco adorning the walls and coloured lighting to set the

theme, it’s the perfect place to wind down after a busy day or to enjoy

the ambience. There is booth seating, general dining and bar seating

available.

Downstairs is where the party erupts - the basement level showcases a

large stage with a 1955 refurbished grand piano – all the way from New

York. This is where the jazz magic happens, as evenings in the basement

are ticketed events for all the hottest jazz artists in town. There is plenty

of room for relaxing on the couch, dining on tables or grooving to the

music.

The menu in the Piano Bar features Improv dishes which are ideal for

snacking with a few beverages. Otherwise, order off their main menu

which includes light dishes that are ideal for sharing, as well as some

delectable mains. Popular dishes include the slow roasted pork belly,

which is served with salted cod polenta and pickled fennel.

The confit duck leg is another highly recommended dish, served with a

beautiful braised lentil salsa, red cabbage and bacon. Be sure to leave

room for dessert, as the banoffee pie is heaven on a plate.

The drinks menu is abundant with high quality wines, tap beers, bottled

beers, cocktails and cold drinks. These are available both downstairs in

the basement and upstairs in the piano bar.

Events in the basement feature a range of talented jazz bands, with

events happening each and every week. Ensure to pre-book to secure a

ticket as they are sell outs.
