Brendan’s dead body is found in his hotelroom of the hotel where Cybrex is hold-ing their corporate strategizing meeting.Betty surmises that Brendan was poi-soned by cyanide, which leads to Angiebelieving the killer is a woman. Initially,Homicide believes Brendan’s murder hassomething to do with the Cybrex meeting, especially as Ramsay had a communica-

But when they determine the method thatthe cyanide was administered, they come to the conclusion that Brendan was not the intendedtarget. Summary: Angie’s past comes back to haunt her while investigating the murderof a teenage boy.

The victim: seventeen year old Nathan Conroy.

The killer: twenty-something Cam Radcliffe, wholives with his Uncle Dave and works at Dave’swrecking yard.

Nathan’s dead body is discovered buried in anurban park, he who died of an abdominal stabwound. However, the lack of blood at the site in-dicates that he was not murdered at the park it-self. When Homicide IDs the victim as Nathan, theylearn that he was convicted for possession of adeadly weapon four months earlier and that he wascourt ordered to enter into therapy with a Dr. KateRobbins. Angie is familiar with Dr. Robbins as thedoctor was a key expert witness at a manslaughtertrial over ten years ago at which Angie was a jurorprior to her becoming a police officer. Dr. Robbins’testimony was what convinced Angie to change hermind as to the guilt or innocence of the defendant, who was acquitted. That defendant was a youngman named Cameron Radcliffe. The dump site forthis current case is within clear view of Dr. Rob-bins’ office. A witness provides information abouta suspicious vehicle in the area of the park at thetime the body was probably dumped, that vehiclebelonging to Cam, who they learn is still in therapywith Dr. Robbins. They are certain that Cam is thekiller, but only Dr. Robbins may be able to provide

them with the motive. This case is especially difficult for Angie not only because she questionsher assessment at that trial which may have led to a murderer being set free, but also becauseNathan is around Manny’s age, Manny who is just about to head off on his first overseas vacationwhich includes a stop to visit his biological father Mark who he has yet to meet.

later identified as specialty armor piercing bullets. As Blair rushed to Tony’s side to adminis-ter CPR, which is against protocol, the second gunman, Lee but who is originally listed as aJohn Doe, approached and was ready to shoot him. The victim: Maria Snow.

The killer: Neville Montgomery.

Two eyewitnesses saw Maria’s bodycrashing atop a car parked on the street, she apparently falling from the seventhfloor of the adjacent heritage building, re-cently purchased by Neville. Everything isconsistent with the fall being the cause ofdeath.

The homicide detectives are certainthat Neville is behind Maria’s death, de-spite they working leads pursuing Robertas the murderer. They see it tied into

Neville’s harassment of Angie through his goon breaking into her home, and her beloved carbeing blown up in front of her eyes. That belief is only solidified by Deputy Chief Halford placingMark in charge of the investigation.

With Mark in charge, the question concerning him is if he will do anything to cross Halford, which in turn could jeopardize what looks to be his upward trajectory in the force. To tie themurder back to Neville, the detectives are going to have to find out exactly what Maria’s gameplan was, namely why she sold out Robert to accept the Vice-President job under Neville if sheearlier wanted Angie to help her prove that Neville was involved in Derek Caster’s murder.

This case proves more difficult for Oscar, Angie, and Betty due to their thoughts being onOscar’s health and his imminent surgery, the prognosis from which is uncertain.

Summary: Angie and Vega must adjust to their changed work dynamic, whiledealing with bringing a cop killer to justice.

The victim: Police Constable GregSchultz.

The killer: stand-up comic and Greg’solder brother Murray Schultz.

Greg’s death is the first case for Oscarfollowing his recovery and promotion tostaff sergeant, Brian in his new positionas Angie’s partner, and the new homicidedetective Mitch Kennecki, an overly cockyknow-it-all because he is a legacy.

Greg’s death is initially deemed a sui-cide based on eyewitness statements, which include a selfie video with Greg in

complete uniform in the background just before he stepped by the water and shot himself in thehead. However, no one is able to identify Greg conclusively as the officer in question. Also despitethe eyewitnesses, Greg’s body and firearm, which was original his father’s, are not recovered fromthe water for several hours. But Oscar wants to be overly cautious before officially announcingthat it is a suicide, and despite the pressure placed on him by new Police Chief Wells.

Oscar has good reason to be cautious as Angie believes the person in the selfie video is indeednot Greg, but someone dressed to look like Greg, with his body dumped in the water probablyseveral hours earlier. The case may be hindered by Mitch wanting to make a good impressionon the Police Chief, he implicating Lori Schultz, Greg’s widow, as the murderer. But the otherhomicide detectives begin to focus on Greg’s estranged brother Murray, the motive for the murdermuch more complex than the reason for their estrangement.

tant.Chris’ dead body is found first thing in the morning inside a sensory deprivation tank at a

day spa, using such a tank which was his routine following his many business trips, the Chileanrainforest from which he just returned the night before.

This case is the first since Oscar kicked Kennecki off of Homicide, and replaced him withDetective Paula Mazur, an efficient yet somewhat cold loner of a person who Angie and Brianrefer to as the ”anti-Kennecki”.

The case takes a deadly turn when Betty not only discovers that Chris died from asphyxiationby his tank being flooded with chloromine, but that he still has an active but unknown pathogenin his system, meaning the morgue being locked down. The guess is that he picked up the deadlyvirus in Chile. As such, the team, who has one member hit by the virus which again couldhave deadly consequences for that person, has to locate the killer as quickly as possible, theysuspect he/she having been infected by Chris and now being the unsuspecting carrier of thevirus infecting innocent people in his/her path.

The virus also being unknown in nature adds an extra level of concern, as Betty knows theCDC can only identify it if a victim comes forward who knows when he or she would have beeninfected, which is difficult without knowing who is the killer is passing it along.

This case starts off unusually whenDr. Price comes into the police stationto report to Oscar that he believes oneof his patients, Peter Carver, is display-ing homicidal tendencies, the descrip-tion provided by Price about what Carverwould do matching Dawn’s case.

A connection is made between Carverand Dawn, he who was one of her biggest

morning with Dawn having multiple stab wounds by scissors to the neck. After she and Angie interview Stacey, Paula, without disclosing the full reason, has reason to

believe Sophie is the murderer. When Oscar points the detectives in Carver’s direction, Betty discovers a string of pearls in

Dawn’s throat. It is then that Paula provides full disclosure of why she had believed Sophie tobe the killer: the murder mimics down to the string of pearls a case on which she worked threeyears ago of murdered Brita Morris, where her testimony put away Brita’s roommate, MirandaHurst, whose story is that she was forced to watch the real unknown male murderer kill Brita.

Miranda, who to this day professes her innocence, is still in prison for Brita’s murder. When all evidence points to Carver being Dawn’s murderer, Paula does whatever she can to

tie Carver to Miranda as she was and is certain that Miranda still did kill Brita, with Carver nowlooking in her mind to be an accomplice.

When questioned, Carver obviously does display issues of mental disturbance of the naturedescribed by Dr. Price. But when Brian discovers some evidence that points away from Carver, the detectives look to Dr. Price, the person who first pointed them in Carver’s direction.

It is Liz’s threat to their family unit that is the probable motive, with their outward Christianfundamentalist values masking their true beliefs.

In the process of the investigation, Oscar and Angie accidentally learn some information aboutRon’s counsel, which leads to further issues between Oscar and Chief Wells. And as Jack willsoon be heading back to London, he and Angie talk about their future, which if there is to be onewill probably mean a change of job and residence for one of them.

Summary: After an explosion at Judge Natalie Rodman’s home, Angie races tocatch a sophisticated killer who’s an expert at covering their tracks.

The victim: Judge Natalie Rodman, oneof Angie’s old law professors and some-one who was instrumental in her chang-ing her life around and getting into policework.

The killer: Lexi Moore, one of Judge Rod-man’s new law clerks.

The case, which starts off as an arsoncall at Judge Rodman and her writer hus-band Brent Rodman’s house, has Angieas acting Staff Sergeant with Oscar’s re-tirement, Brian trying to avoid SergeantSaunders who wants to speak to him, and

both Angie and Brian being reunited with a now more mature face from their professional past. The arson in question was an exploding barbecue, which the arson detectives discover was apurposefully set ”bomb” of sorts in the form of three hidden butane tanks planted inside thebarbecue which would explode when ignited.

The Rodmans believe that if it was indeed a murder attempt, Judge Rodman was the targetas the known chef between the two of them, and as she probably has many enemies that havecome before her in her court.

Eventually, Judge Rodman dies from the internal injuries suffered from the barbecue explo-sion, those injuries which were not evident on the surface and which were irrevocable in thatmedical attention would not have saved her.

After Judge Rodman’s death, Angie is certain that she was not being totally forthright in thepost-explosion interview. Angie will learn why when she begins to uncover some unsavory issuesfrom the Judge’s past.

Angie and Brian also uncover Judge Rodman’s ties to a young offenders boot camp calledNature Bound, which they believe is integral to discovering the murderer and motive.

As they get close to concluding the case, Angie contemplates a first in her life as a detective, and Brian makes a decision with regard to Sergeant Saunders’ want to talk to him.

Summary: Three years after Judge Rodman’s killer got away, Angie returns toVancouver to bring the killer to justice.

The victim: Trent McAllister, the ownerof International Bailiff Services, a com-pany that specializes in high end repos-sessions. His mangled dead body is foundnext to a helicopter he was probably re-possessing, he probably killed by beingcaught in the helicopter’s moving rear ro-tor.

The killer: Lexi Moore, the young womanwho three years earlier killed Judge Na-talie Rodman and mechanic Mark Duff, the two associated cases still unsolved.

The Metro Vancouver Homicide De-partment investigating the case is comprised of Sergeant Gavin Saunders, and Detectives PaulaMazur and Mitch Kennecki.

A stray cat hair at the crime scene ties this case back to that of Judge Rodman’s. As such, those who worked on Judge Rodman’s investigation are called back into service for this case, those being Sergeant Brian Lucas with Internal Affairs, and Paris-based Interpol Agent AngieFlynn.

This case is a bittersweet reunion for Angie with Oscar, as besides Oscar’s want for Angie toreturn to Vancouver permanently to work for him as an investigator for his private investigationservice called Tabula Rasa, he represents Duncan and Bally Anderson, two people of interest inthis case as McAllister’s estranged son-in-law and daughter.

That estrangement is due to McAllister successfully getting Duncan charged and convicted ofsexual predation eighteen years ago when Duncan was nineteen and Bally sixteen, despite thefact of the closeness of Duncan and Bally’s ages and their relationship being consensual.

That conviction still haunts them to this day, and also affects their son Thomas Anderson asthe offspring of a convicted child molester, for which he is constantly taunted.

This case adds a complication to Duncan and Bally’s lives as they long told Thomas that hismaternal grandfather was dead, not wanting him to know that he was the cause of Duncan’sproblems.

Thomas, an aspiring on-air radio DJ, finding out about the role his grandfather played in hisfamily’s problems and divulging that to his radio station mentor, Shawn Bailey, and Shawn’sgirlfriend Lexi may provide the link for those investigating the case.

The ultimate questions become how determined Lexi is to protect her crimes, and how deter-mined Angie is to solve especially Judge Rodman’s murder this second time around, Angie whohas a limited amount of time before she needs to head back to work in Paris.
