• Energy is most consumed product in theWorld (by human now).

•  As the world population increases to 9billion by 2050 (predicted by scientists),we will need when not 50% or more energy to keep the World running.

• 80% of these energy comes from burningfossil fuel; of oil, ¼ of coal and 1/5 of ⅓

natural gas. And the rest comes from other recourses (nuclear, hydroelectric and atiny fraction of: Wind, Solar and

Geothermal).• In order to get the energy we have to burn

the fossil fuel, by burning fossil fuel, weemit greenhouse gases into the air causingthe greenhouse effect and other issue

(such as promoting climate change).•

• Every ½ second a baby is born and withevery new born comes just a little moredemand.

• Every 8 hours 200,000 people (as muchas a full football stadium) are added tothe World every single day.

• By this rate, scientists have calculated that our population will bust up to 9billion in sooner than by 2050.

And as we know land is limited. We’realready cutting forests and even bigrainforests down to achieve land which iscausing deforestation (also major environmental issue).

• Logging the forest destroys varieshabitats of animals, that means they are

• (By Provision it’s meant Food and Water

consumption)•  As our population grows limitless, our

demand and consumption of water and food therefore increases.

•  Already it is difficult to get water and

especially.• But the Environmental issue isn’t much

in “how to get food/drink”, it is in the processing the drinks and food we eat.

• Producing food can take up hundreds

processes to make the product or eventhousands of processes to make the

 product.

• In fact dirty water costs more thanclean water because it has to be

cleaned in order to use it (takes lots of rocessin and mone also fizz and

We all know that our natural resourcesare limited and are mostly non-renewable.

• We consume most of the naturalResources such as (majorly): Biotic

Resources , Abiotic Resources.• Biotic Resources- are materials that are

obtained from the living and organic material, suchas forests, animals, birds, and fish. Fossil fuels suchas coal and petroleum are also biotic naturalrecourses.

• Abiotic Resources- are those that come fromnon-living, non-organic material. Examples of Abiotic resources include land, fresh water, air andheavy metals including ores such as gold, iron andother metals.

• The issue is to get these resources we damage and

destroy a lot of the environment just to fulfil our needs and demands which leads to issues like

Demand is rising as thepopulation grows.

•  To resolve this Environmental issue

and to sustain our Environment wehave to find a solution , but at themoment we are also worried about

big Global issue that we arerunning out of fossil fuel (burningfossil fuel is the cheapest way of

getting a lot energy) and we have

The most environmental firendlyresource of producing energy isRenewable Energy it’s clean andcompact but it’s only about a fraction

being used. But the problem is that it’sexpensive and can’t produce as muchenergy as fossil fuels do, that’s why

they don’t use and also it is a sourcethat isn’t always there e.g. Solar Poweronly works when sun shines, Windpower only works when wind is there.

By Decreasing our consumpion wecould save about 10% or more of theworlds ernergy consumption and wedon’t have to consume materials, but

still keeping in mind that we cutmillions of Trees to produce furnitureand paper (which most of people

waste).• Also Decereasing our demand could

save the rainforest from deforestation

and the environment by only usingthat much to fulfill our needs so that

Summary•

We human consume a lot, which damages theEnvironment in various ways.

And by the rate the human population is growing, we will need more than 50% of theEnergy we use today.

• We have found two ways of doing that: increasing our energy supply or Decreasingthe Consum tion and Demand
