Dear Naomi,
My name is Diana Rohlman, the Program Coordinator for the CommunityOutreach and Engagement Core in the Environmental Health SciencesCenter (EHSC). We strive to improve the public's knowledge on how toreduce the risk and individual susceptibility to environmental factorsinfluencing human health and disease. Our goals are to:
Develop educational materials and resources on environmental healthCommunicate with the general public, community educators andpublic health professionals on environmental healthIdentify environmental health concerns in your community
To better reach Oregon parents and educators, we are sending out quarterlynewsletters with up-coming events and opportunities to become involved inOSU research and engagement.
January: Family Fit Lifestyle Month
January is a great time to reevaluate our health, especially ourenvironmental health. During the winter months, we spend much more timeinside, so now is a good time to think about your indoor air quality. Forexample, what are you using in your classroom that might influence thequality of your air?
