2004, United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)

2009, Kyoto Protocol, Kyoto Protocolwere ratified by Turkeywere ratified by Turkey

National greenhouse gas emissions are estimated annually by using the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) Guidelines and Good Practice Guidance (GPG).

National Inventory Report (NIR) and Common Reporting Format Reporter (CRFR) tables have been prepared as a time series starting from 1990 and submitted to UNFCCC Secretariat by TurkStat.

•USST II Project in 2008. • Physical supply and use tables (PSUT) and transfer table were compiled for the year 2004 as a pilot study. • Then 2008 tables were also prepared by TurkStat.• 2010 and 2012 tables will also be prepared next year.

• MBP 2006 Environmental Accounts Project in 2009• TurkStat has regularly reported Eurostat material flow accounts questionnaire since 2009.

•TurkStat has no activity on EPEA yet. TurkStat only compiles data on environmental expenditure end revenue by sector.

•TurkStat has data only for waste collection tax collected by municipalites, and paid by enterprises by sector.•Studies on compiling all environmental taxes data will be performed in 2013 within the scope of USST III Project.

•TurkStat prepared a new questionnaire for EGSS and performed a pilot study in 2008.•Then it was decided to revise current expenditure questionnaires in order to compile data also for EGSS within the scope of USST III Project.
