ABOUT TODAY’S MUSIC

Anthem Star of Bethlehem Good shepherds wake, hear angels call, Follow the star to a lone cattle stall, In gentle sleep a Prince to behold, Safe in the love of His mother, shielded from cruel winter’s cold. Star of Bethlehem shining, guide the way Sparkle and play, upon the stable, Asleep in the manger, a child of light, born to us all on this holy night. Three noble Kings, they knew the sign, Under the star born a baby Divine. More than a King, the true Lamb, the flame, And with their tributes to greet Him, riding from far lands they came. —CCLI #1762523

Just Flicks—Sunday, January 12th, 2020, 6:00 PM Just Flicks starts the new year with “Love, Simon” on Sunday, January 12 at

First Presbyterian Church. This 2018 release was groundbreaking. As the film’s website says, “Everyone deserves a great love story. But for seventeen-year old Simon Spier it's a little more complicated: he's yet to tell his family or friends he's gay and he doesn't actually know the identity of the anonymous classmate he's fallen for online. Resolving both issues proves hilarious, terrifying, and life-changing … “Love, Simon” is a funny and heartfelt coming-of-age story about the thrilling ride of finding yourself and falling in love. ” Lindsey Holler will serve as our discussion leader. As always, tasty refreshments will be served before the film. The

fun starts at 6:00 p.m. in the church dining room. We will see you there! Next up – “Smoke Signals” on January 26, also at First Pres.
