PUSH-BUTTON STATIONS, CONTROL POSTS, CONTROL DESK :

Having Sheet Steel Fabricated Dust and Vermin Proof construction with Front or Back Doors

and provided with Push-Buttons, Indicating Lamps, Switches and other Instruments for Local

or Remote Operations of Machines. These can be supplied suitable for Pedestal or Wall

Mounting application.

INTERLOCKING DEVICES (CASTLE TYPE) :

Different types of Interlocking Device to ensure proper sequence of two or more

independent operations of Electrical or Mechanical equipments. The need for proper

sequence may be safety of Personnel or Equipments or it may be the requirement of the

Process.

SOFT STARTERS:

Soft Starters minimizes the Starting mechanical and thermal stress/shocks on the machine and

the motor. It results in reduced maintenance cost, fewer breakdowns and hence longer

operating life for both. Reduced starting current is an added advantage. We manufacture and

supply the soft starters.

LIQUID ROTOR RESISTANCES:

These are used for inserting External Resistance in the Rotor - Circuit of Slip-ring

Induction Motor at the starting to reduce starting - current and increase starting - torque.

Used in various Industries & Installations like: Cement Plants, Rolling Mills, Pumping Plants,

Sugar Mills and Paper Plants. We manufacture and supply Liquid Rotor Resistances with

both motor- operated or manually - operated mechanism.

These give Step - Less cutting of resistance and are economical in comparison to Wire -

Wound or Grid - Resistances. We also manufacture all type LT Stator- Rotor Control Panels.

LIQUID RESISTANCE CONTROLLERS :

These are used for Speed Regulation of Slip - Ring Induction Motors by varying the

Rotor Resistance of the Motor and are very commonly used in Cement Plants.

GRID ROTOR RESISTANCE & CONTROLLERS :

We also manufacture Rotor Resistance using Stainless - Steel sheets for similar applications as

Liquid Resistance and Controllers.

NEUTRAL GROUNDING RESISTORS :

We manufacture Neutral Grounding Resistor (NGR) as per Customer’s Specifications and

requirements. NGRs are used in AC Distribution Networks to Restrict Earth Fault Current to a

predetermined level. Resistance - grounding or Transformer or Generator - neutral Star- point

is the most effective and preferred method.

AUTO - TRANSFORMER STARTERS :

Fully Automatic or Semi-automatic Push - Button - operated Auto - Transformer Starters

for 415/550 V and also 3.3 KV , AC, 3 - Phase Squirrel Cages Induction Motors up to

500HP.These are provided with , 3 - Air Break / Vacuum Contactors, Thermal Over - Load

Relay, Oil Immersed Auto-Transformer with 40%, 60%, 80%,Tappings, Timer for Automatic

Change- over , Ammeter, Voltmeter, Start & Stop Push - Button . The Contactors and Auto-

transformer are totally enclosed in separate Dust & Vermin Proof Sheet-steel enclosure

suitable for Floor-mounting ; ratio of Tapings can be varied to suit particular application.

PRODUCT DESIGN

We have a Design - wing which processes Design and Manufacturing information for the

equipments / systems ordered on us. Most of the orders received are for tailor -made

equipment / systems, hence in each order a substantial amount of design work is involved.

This wing also takes up Development of New Products and improvement of existing

products. To cater to this requirement we have a full fledged Design - Office manned by

experienced Engineers & Draughtsman & provided with Computer - Aided - Drafting facility.

The “AUTO - CAD” and “PROMISE” Software’s are used for preparing product Design,

Drawing, Schematic and wiring Diagrams.

An Ammonia Printing Machine is also provided for taking out the Drawing Prints.

We continuously review our existing product designs and make improvements in them, this

is an ongoing - process and is needed to give us an edge over our competitors in respect of

better Design, Lower Cost and better Quality.

While designing the equipment the prime consideration is given to the aspect of ease of

operation, convenience of maintenance and extension to existing equipments. Adequate

attention is given to incorporate operator’s safety feature & aesthetic appearance of

equipment during the design stage.

Our Design Wing also prepares the user’s Operation and Maintenance Manuals for

the Equipments, manufactured and supplied by us.

∗ Panels are fabricated by using, as far as possible, Cold-Rolled sheet steel. After fabrication,

the entire sheet metal work undergoes Mchanical / Chemical pretreatment and painting.

∗ Seven Tank Process has been installed to derust, degrease & to Phosphatise the Sheet Steel

Fabricated Panels.

∗ Heavy M.S. Fabricated Assemblies are Shot-Blasted to remove rust and grease before

painting.

∗ Two coats of Red Oxide / Zinc Rich Primer Paint and Two coats of Synthetic Enamel Paint

are applied.

∗ Hardware used for assembly are Zinc Plated & Yellow passivated. (5-10 Microns)

• Assembly & Wiring Shop:-

Experienced Fitters and skilled Wireman with adequate tools & tackles carryout assembly and

wiring work of various products as per relevant standards

• Testing Facilities:-

Need for proper testing facilities for any electrical product cannot be underestimated.

Switchgear / Control gear products are Control - cum - Protection equipment, hence providing

the designed characteristics and verifying the same by testing are all the more essential.

The following tests are conducted at our works-

Testing & Inspection of all incoming materials.

Routine Tests such as Continuity Test, Meggaring , High Voltage Test and Operational

Tests are conducted on the manufactured assemblies and products before dispatch.

Type testing of products is carried out in any reputed laboratory as and when required.

Heat run test upto 3000 Amps can be carried out in - house by us to confirm to IS 8623 (Part

1).

Our make Motor Control Centers and Distribution Boards have been Type - tested

for Short Circuit withstand level of 50KA for 1 Sec., to confirm to IS 823 (Part 2). Our

Control Panels have been Type - tested for Dust and Water Proof feature as per

protection clause IP-55 of IS:2147.

DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION FEATURES OF CUBICLES / PANELS / DESKS

The Panels / Cubicles are of fabricated, self standing construction or wall mounting type

construction as required. Desks have self standing construction.

The Panels / Cubicles / Desks can be provided with Front - Door, Back - Door or Front and Back

Door access.

MCC (Motor Control Centers) are available in Draw out - type as well as Fixed - type versions.

Cubicles are of modular type construction thus future extension to existing Boards can easily be

done. Bus - bars, Main - connections and Auxiliary - wiring in Cubicles / Panels/ Desks is carried

out confirming to IS-375. Any special requirement of customer like Special Terminals, PVC

Channels for supporting auxiliary wiring etc. is also met.

Type Test have been carried out to meet following requirement:-

∗ Dust & Water Protected to IP-55 to IS-2147.

∗ Short Circuit Protection Level of 40KA for 1 Sec to IS 8623 (Part 2)

∗ Heat run test upto 3000 Amps. to IS 8623 (Part 1)

The routine Tests as per relevant National/International Standards are carried out.

Acceptance Tests as per agreement with the customer are carried out.

QUALITY CONTROL

The proper functioning and appearance of the equipment manufactured in a factory depends

upon the Quality Control of Components / Sub Assemblies at all stages. To meet this quality

requirement, a separate Quality Control and Inspection Section, manned by qualified and

experienced Engineers and Supervisors, is established.

The Bought out material and Fitments are inspected at the incoming stage. Manufacturer’s

Test Certificate where required are also obtained in support of the tests carried out at our

vendor’s works.

The fitments like Instruments, Switches, Contactors, etc are procured from reputed suppliers

to ensure trouble - free service and long - life. Only the fitments confirming to National /

International Standards are procured.

We also obtain and implement the comments of our valued customers in respect of Quality

improvement.

All the new products developed are made to undergo the Type Test as per National /

International Standards in the National Level Laboratories and Test Certificates are

obtained for record. The Routine Tests as per applicable product standard are carried

out on all the products manufactured and the records kept. Each product manufactured

undergoes a thorough inspection and testing before being cleared for dispatch and a

record of such inspection is kept.

Feedback from our customers’ is also obtained on any problem faced by them with our

products. These feed-backs are analyzed to find the reason for problems and solutions are

worked out to eliminate the same. Our associations with large companies like Bharat Heavy

Electricals Ltd., National Thermal Power Corporation, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.,

Crompton Greaves Ltd., Tata Chemicals Ltd., ACC Ltd., etc., as their regular vendor has
