I believe it will an excellent way to focus our summer on worship by reading the songs of worship for the Hebrew people. Many people read through the book of Psalms in just 30 days at five a day. Our challenge in the youth ministry is to tackle all 150 in the precious 79 days that is the Carthage summer. We want to invite you to be a part. Whether it’s reading five psalms a day like some of us hoping to tackle it twice or it’s two a day aempng to finish once with some spare days when we are too busy or maybe forgeng. Please join us as we worship God in our summer reading. We are taking a Read.Think.Pray.Live approach. Each step is easy but important. Reading slowly and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us in our pace. Thinking through the meaning of the words, paying aenon to the smaller and the big meanings. Seeing the forest and the trees speak. Praying that goes beyond asking, but is truly a two way conversaon with God. And finally, living out the Psalms in our lives this summer. Again I ask you to join us as we live our summers as worship to our God and our Savior. Sunday Night Youth Intersect will not meet on June 16th or June 30th. A w a r e n e s s O f f e r i n g f o r Wo r l d H u n g e r Texas Baptists are working together with many Baptist partners in Texas and around the world to show Christ’s love and generosity by meeting immediate hunger needs and helping people escape the devastation of poverty. Each Fifth Sunday in 2013 Central will be a part of this

endeavor—June 30 is a fifth Sunday. A World Hunger offering will be taken. The amount received is to be split between Texas Baptist Offering for World Hunger (20%) and Mission Carthage Food Pantry (80%). This is a special offering and should not come from members’ regular giving designations. Make your check to Central Baptist Church (memo: World Hunger)

The 22 bike riders on the Ozarks route will overnight in Carthage June 6.

Every summer, an extraordinary group of young people pedal different routes from Austin, Texas to Anchorage, Alaska in the world's longest annual charity bike ride. Texas 4000 is dedicated to fighting cancer by sharing hope, knowledge and charity. They cultivate the next generation to lead the fight against cancer through their cornerstone event, a more than 4,000-mile bike ride from Austin to Anchorage. Texas 4000 is able to continue its goals only with the financial support of our communities. You are urged to join their fight against cancer by donating to their cause. Even the smallest amount helps fight the battle against cancer. Donations can be made in the name of a specific rider, in memory of a loved one affected by cancer, or to the organization in general. The Texas 4000 for Cancer is a 501 (c)3 tax-exempt organization. All donations are tax deductible. http://support.texas4000.org

CBC has the privilege to send 22 messengers to San Antonio July 14-17
