Samurai Sportswear were selected as the official 7’s partner for the GB Sevens team in the exhilarating build up to the much anticipated 2016 Rio Olympics. The Samurai in-house design team revealed the bold and patriotic event kit design in red, white and blue that was worn as part of the team’s imperative Olympic preparations as they took part in a number of extensive high level exhibition tournaments across the globe.Developed in Samurai’s Ikoma fabric, these shirts are highly durable, extremely comfortable and offer a moisture management system to ensure you stay cool.
The Shirt is also available in Samurai’s OMG Iconix™ Competition fit as worn by the professional Team such as Exeter Chiefs and Sale Sharks.

Samurai Sportswear and the Army Rugby Union have once again joined forces to bring you the 2016 Remembrance Day Rugby shirt, ‘Battle of the Somme’. This extremely special shirt commemorates the significant 100th anniversary of one of the largest conflicts of World War I, the Battle of the Somme. Fought over 141 days, British and French allies engaged against the Germans over a 15-mile front in an attempt to relieve the French Army.Inspiration for the 360° sublimated design comes from the first day of the battle where British troops captured three square miles of territory by cutting through barbed wire strategically set up by the Germans in ‘No-Man’s land’. The background features an original image that maps the battlefield around the Somme; showing 15 miles of rivers and forests that formed the canvas of one of the most defining periods of the war. The Remembrance Day shirt is available in Regular Fit only.

Founded in 1996, born from the spirit of passionate aspiration and raw determination; Samurai International RFC are now one of the most recognised invitational Rugby 7’s Teams. Along with many other achievements the team recently clinched the title as 2016 Super Series UK Champions.
