First-aid measures
Remove to fresh air. Keep person warm and at rest. If not breathing, if breathing isirregular or if respiratory arrest occurs, provide artificial respiration or oxygen bytrained personnel. Give nothing by mouth. If unconscious, place in recovery positionand seek medical advice.
Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and wateror use recognised skin cleanser. Do not use solvents or thinners.
Check for and remove any contact lenses. Immediately flush eyes with running waterfor at least 15 minutes, keeping eyelids open.
If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show the container or label. Keepperson warm and at rest. Do not induce vomiting.
General : In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek m edical attention. Never giveanything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Fire-fighting measures5.
Promptly isolate the scene by removing all persons from the vicinity of the incident ifthere is a fire. No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitabletraining.
Hazardous combustionproducts
Special exposure hazards
Decomposition products may include the following m aterials:carbon oxidesnitrogen oxidessulfur oxidesmetal oxide/oxides
No specific fire or explosion hazard.
Fire-fighters should wear appropriate protective equipment and self-containedbreathing apparatus (SCBA) with a full face-piece operated in positive pressuremode.
Special protectiveequipment for fire-fighters

Personal precautions
Move containers from spill area. Approach the release from upwind. Prevent entryinto sewers, water courses, basements or confined areas. Vacuum or sweep upmaterial and place in a designated, labelled waste container. Dispose of via a
licensed waste disposal contractor. Note: see section 1 for emergency contactinformation and section 13 for waste disposal.
6. Accidental release measures
:
: No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training.Evacuate surrounding areas. Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel fromentering. Do not touch or walk through spilt material. Provide adequate ventilation.Wear appropriate respirator when ventilation is inadequate. Put on appropriatepersonal protective equipment (see section 8).
Avoid dispersal of spilt material and runoff and contact with soil, waterways, drainsand sewers. Inform the relevant authorities if the product has caused environmentalpollution (sewers, waterways, soil or air).
Large spill :
Move containers from spill area. Vacuum or sweep up material and place in adesignated, labelled waste container. Dispose of via a licensed waste disposalcontractor.
Small spill :
Handling
Handling and storage7.Put on appropriate personal protective equipment (see section 8). Eating, drinkingand smoking should be prohibited in areas where this material is handled, stored andprocessed. Workers should wash hands and face before eating, drinking andsmoking. Do not get in eyes or on skin or clothing. Do not ingest. If during normaluse the material presents a respiratory hazard, use only with adequate ventilation orwear appropriate respirator. Keep in the original container or an approved alternativemade from a compatible material, kept tightly closed when not in use. Emptycontainers retain product residue and can be hazardous. Do not reuse container.

Handling and storage7.Storage Store between the following temperatures: 5 to 30C (41 to 86F). Store in
accordance with local regulations. Store in original container protected from directsunlight in a dry, cool and well-ventilated area, away from incompatible materials (seesection 10) and food and drink. Keep container tightly closed and sealed until readyfor use. Containers that have been opened must be carefully resealed and keptupright to prevent leakage. Do not store in unlabelled containers. Use appropriatecontainment to avoid environmental contamination.

Recommended monitoringprocedures
If this product contains ingredients with exposure limits, personal, workplaceatmosphere or biological monitoring may be required to determine the effectivenessof the ventilation or other control measures and/or the necessity to use respiratoryprotective equipment. Reference should be made to European Standard EN 689 formethods for the assessment of exposure by inhalation to chemical agents andnational guidance documents for methods for the determination of hazardous
substances.
8. Exposure controls/personal protection
Hand protection
Use a properly fitted, air-purifying or air-fed respirator complying with an approvedstandard if a risk assessment indicates this is necessary. Respirator selection m ustbe based on known or anticipated exposure levels, the hazards of the product and thesafe working limits of the selected respirator.
Chemical-resistant, impervious gloves complying with an approved standard shouldbe worn at all times when handling chemical products if a risk assessment indicatesthis is necessary.
Safety eyewear complying with an approved standard should be used when a riskassessment indicates this is necessary to avoid exposure to liquid splashes, mists, gases or dusts.

Skin protection Personal protective equipment for the body should be selected based on the taskbeing performed and the risks involved and should be approved by a specialist beforehandling this product.
:
Environmental exposurecontrols
: Emissions from ventilation or work process equipment should be checked to ensurethey comply with the requirements of environmental protection legislation. In somecases, fume scrubbers, filters or engineering m odifications to the process equipmentwill be necessary to reduce emissions to acceptable levels.
Occupational exposurecontrols
: If user operations generate dust, fumes, gas, vapour or m ist, use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls to keep worker exposure toairborne contaminants below any recommended or statutory limits.
Wash hands, forearms and face thoroughly after handling chemical products, beforeeating, smoking and using the lavatory and at the end of the working period.
Appropriate techniques should be used to remove potentially contaminated clothing.Wash contaminated clothing before reusing. Ensure that eyewash stations and safetyshowers are close to the workstation location.
